Naomi

"I thought you loved me, Naomi." My breath was uneven at this point, sweat running down my back. The ground beneath me felt as if it was moving and the world looked like it was slowly curving. I was immensely panicking not knowing what to reply to that 'L' word.

"Uh... Tafari?" He was standing in front of me with a worried look and sad eyes. He finally met my eyes, searching deep in them, looking into my soul.

"Tell me you love me," he took a step closer to me and I instinctually stepped away from him.

"Tafari, it is too soon," I gulped, hoping he would understand that we are not married yet!

" ...But I know you do, I can see it because I love you as well."

"Tafari, please don't make this difficult," I could see his muscles tense and his eyebrows furrowing giving me a serious look, indicating his mood towards me for the moment.

"You are my wife, you are supposed to love me," he said, as he came closer to me closing in the gap between us and holding both of my wrists, making me look to him.

"Stop, I'm not your wife yet!"

"Yes you are!!" He screamed at the top of his lungs declaring that fact with all of his might.

"Okay, I might not be your wife now, but we will get married, alright?" I regretted this but assuring him of this false accusation would be enough to calm his hot-tempered mood. I looked down to his chest, fearing to look him in his eyes and I absolutely can not ignore the gap between us of which he has closed, makes me unbearably uncomfortable. I bit my lip and slowly closed my eyes, completely absorbed in unease.

"There is no such thing! You are my wife, regardless! Tell me you love me now!" I jolted my eyes open towards the sudden unexpected feeling in my stomach as he grabbed my shoulders and shook my whole entire body as if it would get those three words that he longed to hear, out of me.

"Stop this please!" I begged, as he grabbed my chin to make me face him. I could not believe his actions as of now. His eyes started to change from its original color of mocha brown to red-filled with burning fire. He furrowed his eyebrows some more making him look like a demon. I pushed him with all my might and began making my way out the doors only- to find myself on the floor.

"What is going on with you?!" I heard, which made my eyes shoot wide open. I studied around me to process what was going on only to find myself on the floor beside my bed. I saw a familiar face staring at me in shock. "Are you alright, Naomi?!" My sister, Asmina was laying on the bed that both her and I shared. She quickly got out of bed to help me up. I grabbed my curly filled hair in disbelief, trying to understand what was actually going on. My heart was still pounding uncontrollably and I could not attempt to form any words to reply to my sister. Asmina grabbed a hold of my arm, pulling me up and helped me sit right beside her on our bed. "Naomi!!" I jolted at the sound of her voice. She searched my eyes carefully and began to relate on the confusion that one has after they awake from a disturbing dream. "Bad dream?" I slowly nodded in reply, still in shock.

"Wake up, sleepy heads," I heard more familiar voices coming to Asmina and I's room followed with snickers. Five faces that I recognized were peeking right at my fifth older sister and I  through our bedroom door, our sisters.

"Come on, girls! The morning chores are only for morning and we don't have all day," one of my sisters, Miriam said.

"Naomi? Why do you look like you just saw a ghost?" Tafari's face in the dream immediately came in mind and I jolted up without warning. My sisters placed their buckets carefully on the floors, not trying to wake anyone up, and came rushing towards me.
