The fire had been set out.

We were sitting in the living room silently. Luckily, we had acted quickly, together with the firefighters, so that the fire had no chance to spread out over the whole area.

I decided to not tell them anything about the incident I had. I wanted to handle this on my own, since I've already caused my pack too many worries.

We were all very tired.

The silence was interrupted by a loud knock on the door.

'I'll go open the door!'shouted Emma and sat up right away out of her seat.

Emma did not have the time to say anything before Elian got inside the house.

'Evening. I saw the fire, as it was fading and I did not know was going on. Layla are you ok? Who set the fire?'

'Elian don't you dare sell us your lies! You know very well who did it..'I said, red out of my anger.

'We were not even home. We had gone to visit Grace's sister. Do you remeber her or have you forgotten about her too?'said Elian outraged.

I remember Alice very well. She became paralyzed from a battle against another werewolf. She was like that since I met her. She did not have children, just us. The pack. Alice treated me as if I was her own daughter. Truth is, I have missed her a lot.

How big of a hypocrite Elian was, for bringing her into this. I hate him with all my heart.

'What is this then?'and showed the note I found.

'What is this Layla?'asked Ethen.

I read the note out loud.

"Either Layla is with us or no one else."

'I think that says it all.'I told him.

'You have crossed every line! It's not only about our safety, but also about these woods. So many packs have lived here through the years. This here is sacred ground.'said Ethen, filled with anger.

'Have you gone out of your minds? Layla, you know me. I would never do something like that.'said Elian and actually looked quite disappointed. He was quite a good actor.

'I don't recognize you anymore. You're not Elian, the father figure, I though I knew, anymore.'

'Sadly, it looks like I cannot convince you otherwise. They have influenced you Layla, badly. I hope that one day the truth comes out.'he said and left.

As he was opening the door, Adam showed at our door step. He briefly looked at Elian and greeted us.

'Good evening.'

Elian did not notice him any further and got out.

Kate welcomed him, smilingly.

'Hi Adam! Come in, don't be shy. Guys, this is Adam. That's our pack, Ethen, Victor, Ronan, Emma, Cora and Layla, but you already know that. We met him at the supermarket, where he helped us carry some stuff.'

'We are happy to meet you Adam, even though we don't really show it because you kind of got us at a bad moment.'said Vincent.

'I saw the fire. I am so sorry. Excuse me, but the sir that just left, do you know him? I saw him this morning in the woods behaving suspiciously. It seemed as if he was scanning the area and he was staring at hour house. I asked him if he was looking for something, but he left hastily, without answering my question. The fire broke right after that...'I tried to help as much as I could from my position, to contain the fire.'

'The caulprit was caught on the scene. This cannot go on like that. Something needs to be done! Since they won't listen to us, maybe they'll listen to our fists.'said Vincent and hit his hand on the table.

'You guys need to be careful with werewolves like him. They are sneaky. If you need any help, know that I am here to support you. I don't know if you already heard that, but I'm a lone wolf, so I am not accountable to anyone. I liked you however from the first moment.'

'Thank you so much Adam. We'll definitely need any help we can get. Do you want to stay for dinner?'asked him Ethen and surprised me by his action because I am used to him being cold and distanced towards strangers.

We all sat down to eat, except for Cora, who was laying on her bed upstairs because she was still not feeling very well.

While we were silently eating, Adam proposed us an idea.

'We need to find a way to scare them away. But we need more people to accomplish that. We could stage an attack, without of course really hurting them. That'll show them that they are not welcome here.'

We thought this through and truly it was not a bad idea. The issue is, I don't know who we could ask for help. Vincent sat up straight and said:

'I know just who to call for help...I need to contact Luke as soon as possible!'
