Trapped between two lifes

Chapter 5

The vampires? 

I had completely forgotten about them. They hadn't visited us in a long time. Will they be enough to scare my former pack off? I'm very well aware of the fact that they're ruthless when it comes to vampires. From my personal experience..However, they have never faced a whole vampire clan.

'The meeting is arranged for tomorrow night. Adam, you'll come too, right?'announced Vincent.

'I'm at your services'

'Good, so we should slowly get going. We need to same up our enery for tomorrow.'said Ethen, a little bit too strictly  and became his old self again.

After we said our goodbyes to Adam, we went to our rooms.

Lately, me and Ethen, had become quite distant and I've missed him so much.

Without thinking about it too much, I headed towards his room.

I went inside, but I couldn't find him. He was probably still downstairs discussing matters with Vincent. Disappointed, I returned to my bedroom. As soon as I openend the door, I saw Ethen. I was not expecting to see him here.

'Layla? Where were you? I was looking for you.'he told me and looked at me with his warm eyes.

'I was going to ask you the same thing. I was at your room. I really needed to see you.'

We went inside and sat on my bed.

'I know I've been cold towards you lately and I want to apologize to you for that. I'm scared I'm going to loose you. I don't know if I can handle it if you'd be taken away from me.'he said apologizingly.

'But I've told you a milion times that I'm not going anywhere! You fell in love with me at my worst. You accepted me and made me a part of your family, without any terms. You really thought I'd go to those people that treated like nothing more than garbage? I'm here to stay. I love you'I reassured him and sealed it with a kiss.

He grabed my waist and started kissing me with the same passion. As we were sitting on the bed, he layed me down and  got on top of me. He was kissing my cheak, neck, arms, every uncovered part of my body, while I was caressing his back.

It was the most beautiful night after such a long time. I wanted this night to never end.

When I woke up the next morning, the first thing I saw, was Ethen looking at me lovingly and warmly. He sweetly smiled at me and got a hair stride of my face  and carefully tucked it behind me ear.

'You're so beautiful that I never want to take my eyes off you.'

'I wish I could've stopped time yesterday. I hope every night will be like the one we shared yesterday.'I told him nostalgicaly.

'I promise you that I will try to fullfill your wish'he said and kissed me on my forehead.

'Either way, I think this plan is going to work out and everything will be as it was before.

I was nervous about the decisions that will be taken tonight and if they were even willing to help us.

The day got by way to fast and it was already night.

One could fell the nervousness coming out of everyone.

We were sitting in the living room.

The atmosphere between our pack and the vampires was friendly. Adam quickly adapted and they were all treating him as an old pack member.

Cora and Luke were sitting next to Vincent and Kate. They were exchanging glances the whole time. They haven'tofficialy  told us anything, but we were all suspecting something was going on between them. It doesn't really take a lot to realize that.

'How are our lovebirds holding up? Will you talk to each other or will you keep silent? said Vincent and laughed ironically. Cora's cheeks had gotten red, while Luke was reacting more calmly. He sneakingly smiled and his fangs showed. The twins, Gabriella and Isabella started giggling and along with them, Ronan and Emma, who had become a team, it seems.

'Let's start this meeting.'said Ethen.

'Please Adam, present us your plan'he asked him.

After he had explained us his paln, in greater depth, Luke finally spoke.

'We weren't aware of the fact that the werewolves were causing you so much trouble, otherwise we would've already helped you. Now, as for the plan, it does sound quite good to me. Despite that, I cannot trust you as fast as everyone else has. I just met you and from what I gathered neither do the rest know you for that long.'

'I understand why you are being so cautios towards me, but I can reassure you that I have no bad intentions. The only thing I hope to gain  out of this is to finally have a family. If you want you can think of other ideas, but what I just presented you is the only solution that comes to my mind, right now.'

Silence followed after that. Luke thought about what Adam had said and answered him:

'Very well then, the plan will be in motion soon. We need to be careful though not to stir up big conflicts that could worsen our situation. Our goal is to only scare them off. We don't want to start off a new war! As for you Adam, one wrong move and there will be consequences...'
