After a while, Lucie walks into the living room, a black backpack which I presume is her school clothes and stuff, and then I see what she's wearing and I slowly grin at her as I take her in.
It's a burgundy knee-length classy-casual (I didn't realise that was possible) lacy dress, with thin black tights and black ankle boots with a silver buckle and small heel. Her hair has been brushed out and is cascading down in wavy curls caused by the plait, with a few parts pulled out of her face with hair clips. She's...radiant.
She looks up from under her eyelashes at me and bites her lip. "Is this okay?"
"Definetly. Ready?" I hold out for her to take my hand with her free one. She holds my gaze for a moment before taking my hand in hers firmly.
"Let's go." She smiles.
