I know Lucie lied to me in Theatre, but I'm not sure what could have caused her face to flash with so much vulnerable pain, or why it hurt me so much to see it or how I was relieved when she left my arm around her shoulders, or why it felt like a perfect fit. Okay I don't know a fucking lot, but I do know this- there's more to Lucie than she's letting on and I'm going to find it out. And I need her to trust me, and I...I want her to like me. For this, nothing more. Nothing else. I will not bring Lucie into my world no matter what - it'd kill her before she took her first step.

During Dinner she's extremely quiet and won't meet my eye, frustrating me, because I want to talk to her - to hear her witty remarks, to watch her, to find her habits, even the ones she has no idea about. Interestingly enough, she's already collected a bunch of attention - she has Mila from our circle talking to her, the other two new girls Casse and Uma, she seems to have Ava's attention too, Warren, Jeb, Yves from Theatre, and even Eden is out of her "Warren-Fog" and is talking to her. She's definitely has some sort of gravity about her...that's the only way I can think of to even begin to understand how she's so...Lucie.
But I can't get distracted by her, I have a mission to take care of.

Ava comes to see me before my next lesson with Lucie. "Adrian, what are you doing?" She whispers.
"Sitting, I find it fairly-"
"You know what I mean, why are you so interested in Lucie? What's she going to do? What about the mission?"
"Ava, Ava, Ava...that's my business and it keeps everyone from suspecting I'm here for any other reason than to play around- and she's exactly my type." I taunt her, wanting her to just stop asking me questions.
"What, a pyscho? " She mutters to herself darkly, but her words just add to my earlier convictions, making my back stiffen at the thought.
"What did you just say Avalon?" My voice chilled, as I debate how to deal with her back-chat. Why can't she just behave and shut up?
"Nothing Adrian, you're right- it's your business: but don't forget-" She tries to reason but I'm fuming- how dare she try and tell me what to do?
"Avalon I'm tired of your constant chatter- go to someone who gives a shit because I couldn't care less what you say."
She stands there, her mouth slightly open in bewilderment at me, shocked out of her lecture. "That's not fair, I'm only looking out for you- like always! All I ever do is help you-"
"No, you badger, annoy and nag me. I'm older, I'm more important, I am the one in charge- not you. So stop it. We're here as long as it takes, no more, no less, so please stop rushing it. I know what I'm doing." I sigh at the end. "I promised it'd be okay and I meant it."
"You're not better than me." She whispers. "I want to go home."
"You will." I don't say soon, even my Father doesn't give false hope to others, I can at least give him that.
She gives me a weak smile, "Just be careful and don't break her, she's a nice girl." Ava walks away leaving me alone in contemplation of what's to come.
And if I can give Lucie up if it comes to it.
