DÈJÁ VÛ -Norminah-

It was an early Thursday morning and Dinah was up earlier than usual. It was surprising to her that she was awake before everyone else.

But in this moment, it was more annoying than surprising.

She was currently blowing up Normani's phone, trying to wake her as she continued to knock on the door wildly. She had been standing outside for over 20 minutes and Normani has yet to respond.

Dinah just shook her head and sighed heavily, turning around and walking towards the elevator. Just as she pushed the down button, she heard a familiar voice call her name from down the hall.

"Dinah, wait!" Normani called out to her.

Dinah quickly stuck her arm in between the metal doors and made her way over to Normani. She saw the woman in her pink shorts and a small white tank top, her body covered halfway in the robe since it was open.

The younger woman took a few more seconds to observe the woman's appearance. She then looked up into Normani's eyes with a small grin.
"Nice PJ's ."

Normani playfully rolled her eyes and rushed back into the apartment to make sure Daniel was up and out of bed. She ran into the kitchen to put on some fresh coffee since she wouldn't have time to stop and get some from Ally's shop. If she went to any other cafe, it wouldn't take up as much time but she only preferred Ally's coffee or her own. The taste was simply ten times better than anyone else's.

Dinah watched as the older woman ran around the house like a crazy woman. She giggled and decided to take a seat on the couch until they were ready.

She chilled on the comfortable seat for a minute before she heard her son squeal excitedly. "Mom!" He yelled, running towards her with his arms open, ready to give her a big hug. Before he could reach her though, he was pulled back by his mother.

"Nuh uh, go brush your teeth. You're gonna be late for school" Normani said to him, patting his butt twice as he walked to the bathroom.

"It wouldn't be the first time" he mumbled.

"I-...whatever." Normani said mid protest. She began to walk away when she heard the familar snicker coming from the couch.
"Oh, I'm glad you think this is funny."

Dinah shook her head and put her hands up in defense. "I tried calling multiple times but I guess you were in a deep sleep."

Normani softly glared at the woman before rushing down the hall and into her room to proceed to get dressed.

Minutes go by before Daniel and Normani are fully dressed and ready to part ways until later on in the day.

Dinah smiles down at her son as she moves some of his curly hair out of his face. She couldn't help but to admire him when all he reminded her of was Normani.

Speaking of the brownskinned beauty....

"Alright, give me a kiss." Normani said putting her hand behind Daniel's head, placing a kiss on his forehead. "Have a great day baby. I love you" she said to him.

The young boy smiled softly at his mother's sweet words. "I love you too mama" he watched his mother gather her purse, phone, work bag and her coffee. Dinah then opened the door for her, being polite. It made Daniel smile, he didn't see his mothers fight or anything but it was nice to see them being nice to each other when they are all actually together .

Normani smiled back and nodded, as if she was saying thanks.

"Alright buddy, you ready?" Dinah asked the almost eight year old boy.

He nodded and Dinah lead them downstairs.

Normani said her final goodbye to both Daniel and Dinah before she was about to drive off to work.
