First city that the Dallas Wings were traveling to was Los Angeles.
One of their most important rivalries to go up against, was the Los Angeles Sparks.

Dinah obviously hadn't been keeping up with her teams' stats, as well as their opponents before she joined, but Kehlani-along with some of her other teammates-told her that things tended to get heated whenever those specific teams played each other.

The inked woman told her one specific story where the game was cancelled because there was a big brawl between most of the teammates, and even the coaches got involved.

Of course everyone who was involved got fined for their actions. But whose to say that tomorrow night won't be the same?

The point is though, Kehlani warned the newest member of the team to keep calm and not let the other team mess with her head. The sparks were known for manipulating their opponents and the game so that they would win. Dinah's teammates just didn't want her to get taken advantage of.

Especially during their first match up.

"See..." Kehlani chuckled, noticing that Dinah was staring off into space. She tapped Dinah's chest, catching her attention. "...I can already see you overthinking things."

Dinah shook her head and looked out of the window. Los Angeles is a beautiful place. This would technically be her second time in the city, but her first visit was only a passing by to get to another state.

"How far are we from the hotel?" Dinah asked, checking her phone for the time. She was trying to change the subject and take Kehlani's advice not to let it get to her head.

Kehlani shrugged because she didn't know the answer just like Dinah didn't. Thankfully, someone who did...overheard the conversation and decided to chime in.

"We have about 20 minutes to the hotel, Hansen." Their coach spoke as she stood in the middle of the aisle of the moving bus.
"Why? You missing your girlfriend?"

"Yeah." She paused and turned her attention to her coach. "Yeah, I actually am. My son as well."

Her coach smiled and nodded, knowing the feeling all too well.
When she was in the league, she often missed her husband and her two daughters. She tried her hardest to buy them all tickets and fly them out to almost every game she had when she was on the road.

As time passed by and her family grew apart, she easily slipped out of that phase. Now, she's happily divorced, with two grown kids who occasionally brings her grandkids to see her coach at their games.

"Let's go rookie! Time to hit the gym! It's arm day!" Alex, one of Dinah's teammates exclaims at her through her room door.

Dinah rolled her eyes from her spot on the bed. "Alright, just give me a minute! Damn." She mumbled the last part to herself before returning her attention back to her laughing girlfriend. "It's not funny. They've been bothering me all day. We literally just arrived at the hotel and they won't let me rest."

Dinah and Normani had been on the phone for more than two hours ever since she got herself situated in her hotel room.

Being on the phone then turned into being on FaceTime.

"Well I don't wanna hold you guys up, so I'll talk to you later okay?" Normani said with a small smile on her face. She blew a kiss through the phone and said, "I love you, babe."

The blonde smiled and bit her lip. Normani looked so beautiful right now and she wishes that she had the day off so she could FaceTime her all day. And by FaceTime, she also means showing other parts of her body than just the 'face' if you know what I mean.
