Unfortunately, Dinah came up unlucky with trying to buy Christmas gifts for Normani and Daniel, so she ended up with only the souvenirs to give them. She didn't want that to be the only gifts she had gotten them though, so she had a plan to go above and beyond for Christmas this year. Only because it was a special one and she wanted everyone to be happy.

While she was still at the store though, she decided to pick up a few items to help her surprise her son and girlfriend. She figured it would make the surprise more exciting, so she went ahead and purchased the items.

She made sure to grab some things to wrap the gift up with before leaving the store and making her way home.

As you know, that was a few hours ago and now she was waiting in the living, setting up and making sure everything was good enough to show Normani and Daniel.

A few minutes later, she finally calls them into the front room, and Daniel is the first to come rushing in. Normani soon entered the room as well, still sporting a tired expression on her face.

Dinah just smiled at them both as Normani took a seat on her lap and Daniel planted himself on the floor in front of them, next to the bag that Dinah bought.

The bag was filled with all sorts of items, but they all had to do with one specific topic.

"Can I open it now?" Daniel asked his mother as he eagerly jumped up and down in his seat. Dinah nodded and he wasted no time in picking the bag up just to flip it and pour all of its contents out at once.

Normani giggled tiredly. "That's no way to open a gift, Jacob."

Daniel ignored his mother's comment and looked down at the pile of items, debating with himself on which one he should choose first. He eventually decided on the toy airplane and picked it up to examine that first.

He continued to smile even though he wanted to tell his mother that he was 'too big' for toy planes now. Instead he thanked his mother before setting it aside and picking up the next item. Which was the snorkel and mask.

This is the part where he frowned because he didn't know what this was for. He was a bit familiar with the goggles because he used them for swimming once, but there was another part to the goggles that he had never seen before.

Normani noticed the confused look on her son's face and spoke up to help him out. "It helps you swim under water."

He nodded and put that to the side also before picking up a pair of shorts, specifically swim trunks with palm trees on them.
By now and at the sight of this, Normani slowly put together everything in her mind.
It was beginning to make sense and she gasped and looked over to Dinah, whom was smiling widely.

"Dinah! Are you-...what does this stuff mean?" Normani asked excitedly, she had forgotten about how tired she was a minute ago along with trying not to disturb the neighbors.

The blonde only smiled before pulling out three first class tickets from the table beside her. "We're going to Hawaii." She said, making Daniel jump up and down in excitement and Normani to throw her arms around Dinah's neck, hugging her tightly.
"So pack your bags because we're leaving tonight."

She later went on to tell them that she had a few more surprises for them, but couldn't tell them what it was until they reached the airport.
She packed her belongings up in her suitcase before going to Daniel's room to help him pack his while Normani stressed herself out trying to decide on what dresses and shorts she should pack for the trip.

Dinah tried convincing her that she should just pick anything that she would be comfortable in because she's look beautiful in anything she wore, by Normani ignored all of the compliments that the blonde threw at her.

She instead sighed and thought, "This is gonna be a long trip."

As soon as they passed the bags and luggage check, Dinah finally decided to tell them what the other surprise was. It turned out to be that Jilly, Ty and Lauren would also be joining them on their trip to Maui and Normani couldn't be happier.

Daniel on the other hand, was a little upset that Ally wasn't available to come with them because he had really missed her. He was sure that the two of them would've had so much fun together in Hawaii, but she was busy spending time with her family for the holidays.

Normani and Dinah both tried cheering the boy up by telling him that he could ride on a jet ski once they got settled in their hotel, but he wasn't having it and told him that he was tired and wanted a nap.

It wasn't a lie that he was telling to get his mothers to leave him alone, but he was in fact sleepy from waking up before his usual time that morning. Normani could tell when he was tired, he would get cranky and go quiet.

Dinah took his silence as a sign to leave the boy alone and let him sit next to Jilly instead of his actual seat between she and Normani.

She was currently trying to watch one of her favorite tv shows called Baby Daddy, but Normani kept interrupting for something new each time. At first it was the fact that her tv wasn't working, and then she complained about being bored and asked Dinah to play a game of "What's the shape of that cloud?". After receiving theirs drinks, Normani went on to complain about the taste of her cocktail and forced Dinah to drink it and see if it was nasty to her as well.

Dinah disagreed and said that it was actually sweet and that she liked it, causing Normani to roll her eyes and sit back in her seat.

The older woman left her girlfriend alone for a while, making Dinah think that she has fallen asleep. That was obviously a wrong assumption when Normani leaned over the armrests that separated their seats, and rested her head on Dinah's chest.

"Dinah, I wanna watch something else. This show is boring." Normani said to her softly. Dinah looked down at the woman to see that her lip was poked out and her eyes were wide. She hated that she looked so cute while being annoying at the same time.

Dinah then took out her earbuds and handed them to her girlfriend. "Here. Watch whatever you like." She said irritably. "I'm going to take a nap."

Normani smiles gratefully and doesn't hesitate to take the earbuds from the blonde and putting them into her own ears.
She turns on Bad Girl's Club and picks her favorite season, which was season 14 and rests her head back onto Dinah's chest.
