Chapter 23

Jade's POV

I got up and quickly walked out of the class. 

I knew everyone was staring at me. 

" Ms. Thirlwall! Get back in this classroom right now!" The teacher yelled. 

I didn't listen. 

I just kept walking down the halls, not looking back. 

Perrie's POV

I raised my hand. 

" Yes?" 

" Um, can I-" 

" Go." 

" Thank you." I got up from my seat and walked out of the classroom. 

I kept walking down the halls, until I finally found Jade. 

She was sitting down, her back pressed against the lockers. 

Her head was buried in her knees. 

I heard her quietly sobbing. 

I walked over to her and sat down next to her. 

" Hey." Her head shot up, and her eyes met mine. 

Her eyes were red and puffy. 

" I don't wanna talk to you." She says, her voice cracking a bit. 

" What did I do?" I asked. 

" Don't act like you don't know." 

" I'm not acting. I really don't know." 

" Oh really? So, you didn't notice how Zayn was just sitting there staring at you for half an hour?!" 

" Jade, please, just calm down." 

" How can i be calm when Zayn was staring at my girlfriend?!" 

" Jade, you know I don't like him. I only love you." 

" Look, if Zayn's going to just stare at you everyday, then i can't do this." 

" Do what?" 

" This. It's just all too much. If he stares at you, then i'll just end up crying everyday. And i don't want that to happen." 

" What are you trying to say?" My voice cracked at the end. 

" I'm sorry Pez. But, I think we need a break." I felt like crying right now. 

" B-But I can get him to stop-" 

" Perrie, I love you, more than you'll ever know. But, I think it's best if we just stay friends." 

" Forever?" 

" No, just until this year is finished. Ok?" I nodded. 

" Just promise me one thing," 

" Anything." I say. 

" Don't get a boyfriend." I chuckled. 

" Ok, Jadey. But same thing goes for you too." 

" Ok." 

I put my hand on her neck, and slowly pressed my lips to hers. 

The kiss was slow, and full of love and passion. 

I took my hand off of her neck and we both pulled away. 

" I'm going to miss your kisses." I radomly blurted out. 

she chuckled. 

" Me too." 

" Wait, if I see you in the afternoons, then why can't we still date?" 

" Because, I don't know what Zayn can do. He can do anything." 

" Ok." I stood up and so did she. 

" We should get back to class." She nodded. 

I took her hand in mine, and we both smiled at each other, slowly walking back to class.
