Chapter 48

Jade's POV

A loud noise echoed throughout the house, making me and Perrie jump.

"What was that?" I asked, clinging onto Perrie's arm.

"It sounded like a door slamming." Perrie replied.

Seconds later, the bedroom door opened and my mum walked in.
"Jade, how dare you say those things to me over the phone? I am your mother." My mum said.
"Um, Ms. Thirlwall, I think you should go."

"Be quiet, Blondie." My mum snapped.

"Jade, you are coming home with me. Right. Now."

"No, I'm not. I'm perfectly happy here." I said.

"You don't mean that." My mum argued.

"Yes, I do."

"No, you don't. You're just saying that because you're not thinking straight."

"That's ridiculous. I'm not the problem here. You are." I scoffed.

"You just can't leave me alone to be happy, can you?" I questioned, crossing my arms.

"Jade, of course I want you to be happy. I just, what do I have to do to get you to come back home?"

"Hm, well how about you start by apologizing to me AND Perrie." I suggested.

"Fine." My mum sighed.

"I'm sorry for treating you badly. And I'm sorry for hitting you and hurting you, Perrie."

"There. Now, what's the other thing?" My mum questioned.

"If you want me to come back home, then you are going to have to accept that me and Perrie are together. Can you do that?" I asked.

"Well, I think it might take some time for me to fully accept... this. But.... If it means that you'll come back home, then it's all worth it."

I smiled.

"Okay, well, I guess I'll come back home in a few days then." I announced.
