Chapter 43

Perrie's POV

" Jadey, i'm home!" I yelled as I walked into the living room.

I threw my bookbag on the couch, and ran upstairs to check on Jade.

" Heyy," I said, a bright smile on my face.

" Hi, Perrie." I chuckled, closing the door behind me.

" Is everything okay?" I asked, walking closer to her.

" Actually, no. Everything's not okay," I looked at her confused as I took a seat next to her.

" What's wrong?"

" Well for starters, your mum stopped by."

" Really? W-Where is she?" I asked nervously.

" She left a few hours ago. But, she told me something interesting.."

" What'd she say?"

" She said that she had to go give someone something. It was a small, black box.." My eyes widened a little, my mouth open a gap.

" Any ideas of what it could be?" Jade asked, and I just looked away from her.

" It's a..... a ring," I said, looking down at my lap.

" Oh, really? Well, who is the ring for?"

" It's, for a friend.."

" So, it's your ring?"

" Well, I bought it for him but-"

" Wait, him?" I bit my lip, nodding slowly.

" Perrie, who is it for?"

" I told you... a friend."

" I need more than that, Pez. Who's the guy?"

" Uh, Zayn.."

" Zayn Malik?" I nodded.

I heard Jade chuckle sarcastically.

" Wow.."

" What?" I asked, finally looking at her.

" I can't believe you, Perrie!"

" What did I do?"

" You're cheating on me with Zayn!"

" What?! I didn't even say that! He's just a friend, Jade. And that ring isn't what you think it is,"

" Oh, so it's NOT an engagement ring?" I sighed.

" No, it's not! Gosh, how many times do I have to tell you that?" Jade sighed, running a hand trhough her hair.

" I think you're lying," Jade said.

" I would never lie to you! You know that!" Jade rolled her eyes.

" How can i be so sure?"

" Wow... I can't believe you don't even trust me. I thought that we were supposed to be honest to each other, Jade-"

" Look, Perrie, I don't wanna hear it, okay."

" He's just a friend! That ring that you saw, was NOT an engagement ring!"

" Whatever. I don't care anymore.."

" You don't?"

" Nope.... Because I am done," I looked at her confused.

" What do you mean?"

" I mean, i'm done with everything. Including you."

" What the hell did I do?!" I asked angrily.

Jade sighed.

" Thank you.... For taking taking care of me and everything that you've done for me in the past........ but I can't do this anymore. We fight a lot, and I just can't do it anymore." Jade said, her eyes starting to fill with tears.

" W-What are you saying?" I stuttered.

" I'm letting you go, Perrie."

At that moment, my heart broke into a million pieces.

" But it's not an engagement ring, it's a friend-"

" I don't care what kind of ring it is."

" Then, why are you just letting me go?" I asked, tears starting to form in my eyes.

" Because I need some time alone for a while."

" But where will you stay? Who's gonna take care of you? How are you gonna walk?"

" Pez, I got that all figured out. My mum will take care of me, and I will stay with her. I know she hurt me, but I think it's time for me to hear what she has to say about this whole situation." I nodded, biting my lip, looking down at the ground.

" Hey," I lifted my head up so I was now looking into her beautiful brown eyes.

" Don't be sad. I'm not letting you go forever."

" I know, but still.."

" I'm so sorry."

" You're sorry?! Are you kidding me?!" I yelled.

" The only reason we fight is because of the things that you do! Gosh, it's like you're actually trying to get rid of me!"

" Perrie, I love you-"

" No you don't! If you did, then you wouldn't leave me!" I yelled.

I bit my lip and wiped some tears away.

" Just tell me the truth."

" I was trying to. But you wouldn't listen!"

" Pez, calm down, please. I'll listen this time." I nodded.

" It was a friendship ring." I said, calming down a little.

" A friendship ring? So you and Zayn are friends now?" I nodded slowly.

" Pretty much, yeah. He's a nice guy, but I would never date him."

" Why not? He's cute." I chuckled.

I never thought that she would think that he was cute.

I put my hand on her knee, looking into her eyes.

" He is. But I only have eyes for one person." I said, smiling.

" And that person is you, Jade," Jade smiled.

" You get on my nerves sometimes, but I love you. I love everything about you, and I love everything little thing that you do." I said honestly.

I took a deep breath before I spoke again.

" You're the person that I want to spend the rest of my life with." I said, looking deeply into her eyes.

Her eyes widened a little. And now, I was scared of what she was about to say. Well, if she does say anything.....
