Imagine: You meet Jody for the first time, and after you fall asleep at her house Sam and Dean talk about you with her.
Age: 14
"Wow, why didn't you boys tell me you had a little sister?" Jody sat down in her armchair, cradling a cup of coffee like it was her lifeline. To her right, Sam and Dean sat side by side on the couch. They both gave a little chuckle, but they were careful to keep their voices low.
Stretched out across them, your head in Dean's lap and your legs in Sam's, was you, your mouth making a barely audible whistling noise each time you breathed in. You chest rose and fell softly, and your e/c eyes were hidden behind a pair of eyelids as you slept peacefully.
"We didn't want her to be raised a hunter. We hoped to give her a normal life," Dean said quietly, not wanting to wake you as he stroked your head softly, "She found out about how the world is a few months ago."
"Was she scared?"
"Quite the opposite," Sam spoke up, his deep voice velvety and resonate in the dimly lit living room, "She wanted to hunt as soon as she found out. We've been training her, and already she's one of the best hunters we've ever seen."
"She's not mad, at you?" Jody had no intention of bringing up bad blood, but she knew how angry Claire Novak was at Jimmy for letting Castiel in, and she figured Y/n would be mad too.
"Y/n hasn't gotten mad at us a day in her life, or at least stayed mad for long. She was upset we didn't tell her sooner, but she wasn't angry that we raised her into this life. She knows the sacrifices us in the hunter world have to make every day, and she's willing to make them if it means she can save lives." Dean glanced down at the girl he had taken in as his own, smiling at her serene face and sending a knuckle gently down her cheek, her skin soft and warm. The action did not go unnoticed by Jody, and she smiled as well.
"What did your dad think of her, growing up?" Jody could tell the question struck something in Dean, for his eyes hardened and he pulled Y/n closer to his chest, leaving the question dangling in the air for Sam to take.
"John didn't love her." The sentence hit Jody harder than she expected it to, and she felt an overwhelming bought of pity encase her features as she looked upon the sleeping figure of the teenage girl stretched across her brothers' forms. She had been so sweet at dinner earlier that evening, praying and minding her manners, helping Jody with dishes. She stitched up Dean after their hunt and gave Sam multiple kisses in an attempt to make him feel better, after he'd beaten himself down for losing the life of the girl they were trying to save. Y/n was the only person Jody had ever seen to put such large smiles on both brothers faces. It was hard for Jody to believe that someone so kind and so caring could be void of anyone's love.
"John never loved her. He despised her. He hated us for taking her in. Hated me for raising her." Dean spoke with a bitter venom in his voice, and Jody could tell Dean would never forgive his father for treating Y/n so poorly.
"We found Y/n on the street as an infant, left by someone who didn't want her." Sam explained, "John told us to leave her. She would've died alone, and he told us to leave her. But Dean couldn't do it. He brought her home and named her and together we raised her." Sam, too, looked down at Y/n's face with a gentle and loving smile.
"We were so scared that she would be raised horribly. So scared we wouldn't be good brothers for her." Dean said. His eyes were misty as he stared at the coffee table in front of him, lost in his thoughts.
"Well, you two did a wonderful job." Jody said, and Dean seemed to re-enter reality, running his fingers through your hair while he looked at Jody, "She's a great kid."
"She's better than anything we could've hoped for, that's for sure." Sam's voice was so quiet, Jody could barely hear him. Both boys' eyes were filled with love and nostalgia as they looked up their sister's sleeping form.
"You boys really love that girl, don't you?" Jody didn't seem to understand it, how deep it was. It wasn't really visible until she saw the way they both melted to her touch, and relished in the existence of her. They were overprotective and caring. They would die for her.
Dean smiled then, a small smile. He looked down at you, tucking a stray piece of hair behind your ear and running his thumb over your cheek.
"Yeah, we really do."
A/N: Hey yall don't forget that you can give requests for what you want to see in a chapter, so long as it isn't sexual. And I will not do name specific chapters, so if you ask me to make a chapter with your actual name instead of Y/n I will say no.
