Hey this imagine is being reposted because I was contacted by a reader who was having trouble viewing it.

Imagine: Sam and Dean take you to the zoo on your day off.

Age: 8

"Hurry up, Sammy! We gotta go see the tigers and the lions and the bears!" Clad in jeans and a tiny flannel, you tugged on your brother's shirt, vainly pulling him in the direction of the garage, only to be pulled back as he scooped you up into his arms with a light chuckle.

"You know the animals will still be there when we get there, right? They're not going away." Sam, pinching your nose lightly. You crossed your arms, your face glowering.

"Yeah, but the sun won't be here forever, and we can't see the animals in the dark." You argued, sticking out your tongue as Sam laughed. He shifted you around until you were positioned on his hip and left his room, walking down the hall while you looked around for Dean.

"Dean-o!" You eventually screamed, twisting to look back the way Sam had come. Sure enough, Dean appeared around the corner of the hall a few moments later, his eyes bright and a smile on his face.

"What do you want, kid?" He poked as he sped up until he was walking directly behind Sam, reaching forward to ruffle your hair.

"Dean, I'm gonna steal a bear." You said determinedly, nodding as though this plan was the most important thing in your life. Dean laughed.

"Please," He teased, "You can't even get in their enclosure, and if you do they'll eat a little squirt like you."

"Nuh uh," You patted Sam's shoulder to get him to stop walking, reaching toward Dean. They got the message and you were handed off to the eldest Winchester before they both began moving again, "I'm big. I'll fight them and then they'll have to come home with us."

"Are you sure? You're still pretty little, Princess." Dean said as he positioned you on his hip.

     "Am not."

"Are too. And I like you little anyway. You're already getting too big for me to hold, and we can't have that. I need you to stop growing." Dean responded calmly, shifting you around a bit and pinching your cheek.

"But Dean," You protested vehemently, "I have to grow up, that way I can hunt with you guys!"

"Now I really don't want you to grow up." Dean clutched you closer, his eyes dark. You rolled your eyes, oblivious to that hidden pain he felt. You knew monsters existed, but you were blind to the dangers of hunting them.

You arrived in the garage and Dean carried you down the stairs toward Baby, Sam a few steps ahead of you.

He put you down by the backdoor, but you quickly stepped in front of his hand as he reached for the front.

"I want to sit up front with you guys!" You exclaimed excitedly, eyes sparkling. Dean pursed his lips together, as though thinking, and glanced across the top of the car to Sam, who was hiding a smile.

"What do you think, Sammy?" Dean asked, as if he had any intention of saying something other than yes. You looked to Sam with an open-mouthed grin, nodding hopefully. He shrugged.

"I don't see why not. Hop in, Shortstack." Sam said, and you gave a happy squeal as you yanked Dean's door open and crawled inside, planting yourself in the middle while Dean and Sam got in on either side of you, the car dipping with the added wait of first one, then another brother.
