Yay! We reached fifty imagines! Celebration!
AnywayImagine: You find and bring home a dog, and have to hide him from Dean until you can convince him to let you keep it.
Age: 15
This ones a little longer so yeah.
You woke up early, just like you always did, and got ready for your morning run, throwing on athletic leggings, a baggy tank top, and a bomber jacket. Sure, maybe it didn't match, but you didn't care. You slipped a couple of sweat bands around your wrists and put on sunglasses as you ascended the stairs and swung open the large bunker door just enough to slip through, for it creaked loudly as it moved and you didn't want to wake Sam and Dean.
You heaved the door shut behind you and stepped out onto the little gravel road, spreading your legs and stretching.
After you'd stretched, you took a few deep breaths to get your heartbeat up, plugging earbuds into your phone and starting up some music before setting off at a jog down the road.
You were about halfway through your route when you heard the first little yip.
Barely distinguishable from the music in your ears, you thought maybe you were hearing things as you pulled the earbuds from your ears and stopped, chest heaving as you looked around, listening intently to the gentle swish of the leaves drifting in the breeze around you.
Yip. There it was again, a quiet little bark. You immediately followed the noise, breaking from your path and heading a bit deeper into the woods.
The barking became more consistent, as if the creature behind it knew someone was looking for it, and you followed the noise, twisting and turning as it got increasingly louder.
You turned around a bundle of bushes and came face to face with a puppy.
So small, the little shepherd dog looked as though it could fit in the palm of your hand as it cried from where it sat helplessly in the dirt, an unmoving lump of fur next to it. You didn't need to get close to the body, the stench of death was enough to tell you what you needed to know, and your heart sank.
The puppy noticed your presence and it's cries changed to excited yips and chuffs as it pushed itself up onto tiny little legs and bundled its way clumsily toward you.
You squatted down to meet it, pulling the miniature lump of black and white into your arms.
"Oh, baby, you're all alone." You said softly, looking once more at its diseased mother, eyes scanning the area around it for the telltale wriggle of another pup, but there was none. You couldn't decide if that was a good or a bad thing. The pup licked vainly at the bottom of your chin and you couldn't help but to smile.
"Dean would kill me if I brought you home." You said hesitantly, lifting the pup by its pits and looking it in its deep brown eyes.
"Buuuuuut-" You groaned, "I'd kill myself if I left you out here to die. Come on."
You slipped the pup into your jacket and zipped him up, stuffing your hands in your pockets and hoping it looked natural. Thankfully the pup was small enough that he didn't do much other than form a small lump under the fabric of your jacket, a lump that quickly disappeared when your pocketed hands covered it.
You hurried back to the bunker, hoping to get home in time that Sam and Dean would still be asleep and you could sneak to your room in peace, but you knew it was too good to be true. You stopped outside the door and ducked your head down, sticking your nose inside your jacket for the pup to lick.
