Y/N blinked her eyes open, stretched and yawned, rolling herself out of the small bed and walking down the halls to the room at the end and pushing the door open. "Morning my sweet Angel," she smiled but then her eyes landed on an empty cot and she sighed. She wasn't worried though because she knew where Natalie would be right now.
"Y/N? I think I found something that belongs to you," Minho stated as he walked in holding a giggling baby girl that was clapping and smiling showing her teeth, or lack of. Y/N sighed and takes Natalie with a yawn. "She was with the builders again wasn't she?" Minho nodded, "That's definitely Gally's kid, I'm still waiting for her to shout shank and hit someone on the head with a hammer," he teased and ducked out the room to get back to work.
Y/N turned to look at Natalie who was crawling towards the door letting out little squeals of joy as she tried to follow Minho. "Hold up baby girl, let mommy get dressed," she smiled, picking up her girl and putting her into a high chair whilst pulling out her breakfast.
Natalie made a disgusted face and tried to wriggle away from the spoon that was headed towards her mouth and Y/N rolled her eyes. "Ok princess, time for a walk," she hauled her up and walked out the door before setting Natalie on the floor and letting her crawl. "Just be careful Natalie, not everyone is as nice as Uncle Minho," she warned, the small set of curious green eyes staring back at her. They were Gally's eyes, and for a while, Y/N hadn't been able to bring herself to look upon them.
Y/N left Natalie in the care of the small school community that a few people had set up. Paradise wasn't exactly as the title stated, but they had no monsters to run from. No maze, no death, only life. Buildings lay all around the grassy area as they slowly built their homes, their lives and had jobs of their own. Much like back in the Glade, there was the med-pack's and the track hoes and the builders, just no runners this time.
It's not that Y/N didn't want company, she just wanted to be by herself for a few moments as she left Natalie in the care of Brenda and her son Alex. Y/N moved towards the quiet woods and sat down with a sigh. They might have achieved so much, but yet the past continued to haunt them still.
She could still see Gallys face when she closed her eyes, could still see the best friends horrid state before he had a bullet through his brain. It all continued to stay lodged in her head, taunting her. Y/N sobbed silently, something she couldn't do with Natalie because she had to be strong. Y/N drew Gally's name in the dirt with her finger and sighed wiping her tears. "I miss you, Gally," she whispered.
"I missed you too, nice to know I wasn't forgotten," a husky voice spoke from behind Y/N making her spin around to look at the boy behind her. It couldn't be real, he couldn't be here. But yet there Gally stood, sure he was skinnier and looked a lot older than the last time she had seen him, but he was alive! She didn't care how or why, but she had him back once more. She could hear little giggles and claps and could see Natalie peeking out from behind Gally's leg and rose her brows. Gally shrugged, "What can I say? She likes me," he chuckled swooping his daughter from the ground and wrapping Y/N into a gentle hug. "It's ok I'm here now," he soothed to both his girls.
