"Uh, hi?"
"Why do you look surprised, you're the one who showed me where you lived." Lydia slipped past the boy she had grown so familiar with over the past week and a half. It had been a week of red velvet cocoa during work breaks and quick kisses. A full week of completely learning about the other, their hearts falling on the way. Stiles chuckled as she plopped down on his couch, beginning to rummage through the small grocery bag of goodies she had brought with her.
"You've been to my apartment once." He remarked, sitting next to her.
"I have a good memory, now I brought donut holes, the new X-men movie, and wine -yum." She handed him the bottle of red wine, allowing him to examine the label. "Shit." Lydia accidentally let slip from her mouth, only now noticing the shirtless state Stiles was in.He looked up from the bottle with a smirk.
"sorry I've just never seen them all at one time before." She said, referring to his tattoos. He looked down, as if just now noticing they were there. Setting the bottle of wine on the coffee table, he straightened up and patted his lap.
"That was way more sexual than it needed to be." Lydia blushed but sat on his lap anyway, fingers already beginning to trace the tattoos on his chest. Even just sitting here he exuded confidence, watching her curious little eyes nervously jump around his skin. He leaned forward, lips ghosting over hers and she felt butterflies clawing at her ribcage. Sure they'd kissed before, but not under these circumstances. Never in a situation like this, something that seemed more sexual than it actually was.
"Do you have a favorite?" She whispered, trying to distract him. It didn't exactly work, her plump bottom lip brushing over his top causing him to pull her closer.
"Yeah, you." He kissed her, something light and barely there, something that made her want another."How do you do that?" She closed her eyes, savoring the moment.
He chuckled. "Do what?"
"You're so, like, assertive and confident and–" she cut herself short, forced a sigh before he kissed her again.
"Sexy?" He asked, grinning.
"Yeah. That." And she liked the way his arms were wrapped around her waist, like he was hugging her. She could feel the rise and fall of his chest against hers. When she opened her eyes again she saw him twisting his lip ring with his tongue like he always did when he was nervous.
"You're thinking." He said, watching her eyes flicker down to his ink again. He was used to her curiosity. "I can see the gears, Lyds."
"I was being serious when I asked you what your favorite tattoo was." She laughed and he gave her an overdramatic sigh, as if telling her would take hours. She sat back so she could see where he pointed, right below his collar bone. "I-L-C-D I-D-C-C?" Lydia spelled out."In Life Comes Destruction, In Death Comes Creation."
"What about this one?" Her finger followed the solid black line from the edge of his jawline down to where it disappeared under the edge of his shorts. As if realizing she was in some sort of forbidden territory, she retracted the finger immediately and chose to ignore his laugh.
"Scott wanted to get a tattoo but didn't want to do it alone so I went in with him. Told the guy who gave it to me to keep drawing a straight line until Scott's was done. Took forever. Can I kiss you now?" He rushed out."Just one more." She laughed when he groaned playfully. "You like me, right?"
He smiled, narrowing his eyes at her. "That's not a tattoo question, babe."
She blushed at the nickname, knowing it wasn't anything to label her but just something to get her a little nervous. "I know." She murmured.
He chuckled, purely from his chest but she liked the way it felt. And she liked how comfortable she felt with him.
"I do. I adore you. . . Can I ask you a question?"
She nodded. "Anything."
"Aren't you afraid of me?""No." Her brows furrowed. "Should I be?"
"No, no. I don't know I just– sometimes I make kids cry on the street, ya know? I'm tall, I have tattoos up the wazoo, and the most hideous resting bitch face anyone has ever seen on a man." She laughed at that. "But I usually get looks from adults too. Not you. Not ever."
She shrugged. "I don't see you like that. I think the smirk is cute, I have to stand on my toes to kiss you, and the tattoos are no big deal. I think they're great, you know that."He thanked her for that. He was definitely falling for her and he was definitely falling hard.
