Alessandra... She does know Tom better than I do... What if... No.
"Y/n! Could you start the car instead of staring at your phone?" Zendaya laughed at me. I shook my head and blankly started the car. "What's wrong? Is it a mean comment or something? Don't let them get to you; it comes with the territory."
Zendaya reached over and grabbed my phone from my hand, glancing at the screen. Rude.
"Alessandra... She can't be mad at you. I mean, I know you like Tom, which I'm still keeping a secret, I promise. But she doesn't know, plus nothing has even happened between you and Tom." She paused and gave me a cheeky look. "Has it?"
I didn't say anything, just kept my head bent forward. This made it clear enough for Zendaya.
"Nothing happened between you and Tom. Maybe she's just jealous of your friendship with him," she reasoned. I was still worried, but she reached over and patted me on the shoulder.
"Hey, can you drive?" I asked, cutting her off and pulling over. She nodded and we switched seats, and then I grabbed my phone back.
I need to talk to Tom about us...
I quickly texted Tom asking if we could 'talk tomorrow'. I looked up, remembering something.
"Say, Z, when are you getting my car?" I looked over at Zendaya with a big smile.
"Ugh, I forgot... Someday, child." She started the car and drove us back home.
