I looked at Robert with horror, the actor covered up to the knee in sand.

"YOU KILLED JOSH!" I pushed him into the water as he laughed.

"Josh?" Robert started to laugh and I heard Tom snickering under his breath. I turned toward Tom, about to pout and complain, and for the first time since we reached the beach got a good look at him. I had dashed towards the water’s edge as soon as the car parked, so I hadn’t seen him before without his shirt off. I’m sure my face looked hypnotized as I stared at him blankly and thought, Holy—

"Hm? Is there something on me?" Tom asked, getting closer to me. I am so not ready for this.

"Hm? What? Yep, totally fine," I pulled my phone out and pretended to answer a call. ”Um, yeah… Hey… er, Susan. Long time, no see."

I power walked towards Audra and Scarlett's setup on the beach, where they were lounging on a couple of bright towels with floral print on them.

"Hey," I interrupted, sitting down in the middle of the two.

"Are you blushing?" Audra asked in a singing tone. “What’s that about?”

"What?” I touched my face and felt warmth. I was, dang it.

"Is it because of Tom?" Scarlett nearly-shouted.

Tom must have heard because he quickly turned around, smiling. In exactly the type of unhelpful move I would expect, Audra took a picture of him with the flash on, making it seem like this was set up. I'm onto you guys...

"Tom, get out of the way!" Audra yelled, pretending not to be taking a picture of him but the view behind instead. Tom politely moved and went back to his conversation.

"That was easy," Scarlett muttered under her breath while Audra nodded.

"What are you two doing?” I asked, chuckling at how they were planning out some kind of scheme.

"Oh, wait, I have something to tell you.” Audra looked over at me.

"Oh yeah! What was it you wanted to talk about?" I hugging my knees.

"I have to tell you in private… Sorry, Scarlett.” Audra took my wrist and pulled me away from the beach towels.

"It's fine.” Scarlett shrugged and pulled out a book.

Once Audra and I were away from both the guys and Scarlett, Audra started to talk. ”I was looking for you earlier today, obviously, but when I checked your trailer before I went to check a secret time I saw—ah!"

Robert came up behind and picked her up, making her freak out for a few minutes before giggling madly. I, however, was too worried about what she was going to say next to laugh.

Did she see me and Tom? No—Aud wouldn't do anything to hurt either of our careers. I thought Z would be the first to find out, though, with her stalking ways.

I was caught up in my thoughts when Tom did the same thing to me that Robert had to Audra; unlike Aud, my laugher was immediate. I kept re-playing Robert's face when Aud freaked out in my head. I was glad for Robert acting so couple-y with Audra even though the two of them weren’t an established thing. It made it easier for me to be close with Tom in public without making it known to the world.

“Put me down!” I joked after a minute of Tom whirling me around. He did so immediately, looking mildly concerned. “Oh, don’t look like that, I just wanted to do this.”

With that, I darted forward and hugged the loveable man

Tom grinned and met my eyes after I set him for the embrace. “I think we’re a proper dynamic due, Ms. Marvel.”

“You’ve got that right, Spider-Man.” I wished so much I could kiss him at that moment, but instead I just winked and tapped him on the shoulder. “You’re it, sucker! Beach tag, go!”
