Jungkook drove out of the university and into a highway road that I didn't recognize.
Well, I don't know how to drive so I wouldn't know either way.
I always did want to learn but my parents lived nearby and they usually brought things over for me so there wasn't any real use for a car. It would also financially overload our already dire situation so those plans fell through, of course.
I turned towards Jungkook, his position an exact representation of what I always pictured as the cool way to drive. One hand on the wheel and the other resting on the window sill.

To be honest, I thought learning to drive would make me look cooler.
Now, I realize that I probably would look more like a fool, if anything.
He's Jeon Jungkook. If I did the same, I'd probably look like a wannabe.
While I pondered over that, Jungkook caught me staring and smiled, making me turn away hastily when he looked at me.
"I don't condone unsafe driving," I said, giving him a look.
He let out a small laugh but took my warning to stick to looking at the road.
I didn't know where we were going but thoughts about getting in trouble for skipping were getting the best of me and I began to feel stressed.
Jungkook must've seen the visible change in my mood because he kept glancing at me every now and then as I bit my lip in anxiousness.
"We don't have to go if you don't want to," he said, sending me an uncertain gaze.
Was I being too obvious?
I thought about how to work the best answer for this situation but considering what has happened, being the perfect me doesn't work when he's around.
He can still see the raw, scathed person underneath despite the walls I've built up....and it's unsettling to know that he does.
"It's a little too late for that, don't you think?" I responded bitterly and with sarcasm, letting a little bit of my feelings slip out.
