The shattering of glass reverberated throughout the house, breaking the once peaceful silence.

"Jimin?" I heard Jungkook's voice say, his voice muffled from the walls of his room and sounding distant.

I backed away from the scene, feeling like my whole world had just crashed and came to a stop.

Jungkook appeared next to me a moment later, rushing to my side when he saw broken shards nearby.

"Are you okay?" he asked, picking up my hand to see if I had any cuts. "You're not hurt are you?"

I turned towards him, eyes wide and lips parted.

An image of him in his high school uniform appeared in my mind as I looked at him, my disbelief becoming a fast reality.

I took in a sharp breath and pulled my hand away forcibly, backing away.

"Jimin...?" he questioned, confused and coming closer. "Are you still disoriented from the alcohol? You should get some more rest."

"I'm not drunk anymore...Jungkook," I said, his name now feeling like a stranger's.

The picture had fallen out of the frame and lay face down near me.

I picked it up and slammed it down onto the table with my palm, feeling a surge of betrayal.

His eyes seemed to realize what was going on once he saw what it was.

"Explain to me what this is. Explain to me who you are," I said, my voice sounding stronger than I actually felt.

He looked up, his expression remorseful.

"Jimin-," he started.

"DON'T JIMIN ME," I yelled, breathing heavy. "You deceived me this whole time."

It looked like he was going to reach out to me but his hand stopped midway and he looked away.

I scoffed, feeling tears come up.

"You tried to get close to me just to make me suffer like back then, didn't you?" I said, my voice shaky.

He stayed silent and it only fueled my anger more.

"Is this your meaning of 'the past is the past'? You just wanted me to forget everything and then fall again by your hands," I whispered. "It was all for your benefit and setup. All of this was made just to cut me off when I'm hanging on a thread of hope, wasn't it?"

I turned away, unable to look at him any longer, and quickly crossed to the door of his house, gripping the knob with force.
