"Jimin?" I heard a muffled voice say outside of the concert hall. I turned towards the door and in a split second, Mira waltzed in with a look of worry.
"There you are," she said, sounding a little annoyed and tired at the same time.
Her eyes widened when she saw Jungkook next to me.
"Jungkook? What are you doing here?" she asked, arching an eyebrow with a softer tone.
"Actually, we were in the middle of a-"he started, his expression stony.
I cut him off.
"No, we're finished here. Let's go, Mira," I said, taking her by the hand and leading her out.
"Wait, what? Jimin what are you doing?" she mumbled, glancing back at him with uncertainty.
I pulled her out without looking back and stopped once we were far enough in the hallway. My hands released from hers and I just took in a deep breath, frustrated that she had to come at a time when I could've uncovered the truth.
"What's up with you?" she asked, placing one hand on her hip and lucidly frustrated. "That was kind of rude."
"You think?" I retorted harshly. "Honestly, I could care less about your opinion right now."
"What?" she said, pinching her overdrawn eyebrows together and scoffing. "You know, you've been throwing me under the bus a lot these days. Always spacing out, never paying attention to me, you clearly don't even care anymore."
She shook her head and gave me a haughty look.
"I played the nice girl and it seems everything was for naught," she said, acting as I were the one chasing after her. "I think it's time we end this relationship. I'm tired of being pushed around."
She spun around on her heels.
"Hmph at least I got popularity out of it," she said, turning her head and giving me a smug smile.
"You never did like me, did you?" I whispered.
"Maybe I did for a moment," she answered with a snort and a shrug. "Maybe I always hated you."
She click clacked her way down the hall in heels, swaying her hips exaggeratedly and pulling out her phone. She was probably going to post how she dumped the one and only Park Jimin because she was too perfect for him or something along those lines.
I let out a small breath, a bit thankful that at least one thing was taken care of.
But after a few feet, she suddenly turned around and held up her phone to me, showing the school web page and a document she was editing. On the bottom was a share button that could upload it.
She clicked on it dramatically and scrolled up to the title.
She smirked.
Kang Mira Breaks Off Relationship With Overrated Ulzzang Member Park Jimin. What was her reason?
She scrolled down to the bottom where a single file lay in the middle.
Her finger touched the triangle play button.
"I KNOW THAT THEY'RE NOT PERFECT LIKE EVERYBODY PERCEIVES THEM TO BE. NAMJOON BREAKS THINGS, SEOKJIN IS NARCISSISTIC, YOONGI NEVER DOES ANYTHING, HOSEOK YELLS TOO MUCH, AND TAEHYUNG IS WEIRD."
The audio cut off and I stood there, feeling the life drain out of my face.
Mira turned around and began sauntering off.
"A girl can never have too many backups."
