I opened the door to my room and closed it behind me, waiting a few seconds before collapsing down onto my bed with tears in my eyes.
I wanted to scream out into the open and just ask the world why but I knew that no one would be there to give me an answer.
My life was slowly beginning to descend into the depths of hell.
But perhaps, it has already reached the point of no return.
Despite feeling the need to just curl up and sleep the pain away, I grabbed a few pieces of clean clothing from my closet and headed to the bathroom to take a shower.
My current attire reeked of alcohol...and unwanted memories.
The cold water pricked minuscule spots on my skin, like tiny knives and needles digging in and falling out. I clutched the side of my arms and waited a moment but ultimately just showered in the freezing water.
Someone must've broke the water heater again.
A shiver went down my spine but thankfully, the hair dryer was there to warm things up a bit when I dried my hair.
I changed into a pair of pajamas and made my way to my bed, pulling the covers halfway down and then pulling them up to my chin when I was safely tucked in.
They were inviting and soft but...empty. My arms could reach the other side of the bed now at the hollow space.
It didn't feel right.
For half an hour, I simply stared at the ceiling of my room and kept tossing and turning. I was tired but my mind and body just didn't want to shut itself off.
Beep Beep. Valid card detected.
I froze and in a split second, I turned to my side on the bed, facing away from the door because I knew who it as.
The door opened and I kept my back turned, not wanting to speak or even look there. Footsteps echoed through the silent room and I heard noises from furniture being moved and doors being opened. It wasn't long before I heard a rolling sound.
He was taking his luggage.
I could hear him come closer but he didn't go to my side. Instead, he placed something down on the table and then...he left.
Without another word...he was gone.
I counted in my head to 60 just in case he was still there before turning around.
His luggage was gone and so was his other belongings.
There on the table...was a pack of mango pudding. It was the same pudding that he'd freeloaded off of me the first day we met.
He remembered...
I reached over to the table and picked a cup up, only now seeing something that there was something under it.
It was a key card...
Jungkook's key card to this room.
I let out a shaky breath and picked it up while grabbing a spoon to eat the dessert in my hand.
Jeon Jungkook...
Why can't I just forget about you?
You were the person who ruined my life in the past and almost the present.
You're my enemy. You're someone that I shouldn't associate myself with...
Yet I find myself wanting to know what made you betray me back then.
You, who was my best friend and maybe even something more.
Why did you turn your back on me?
