Chapter 16: Squip

Jeremy's POV

"Go after him!" Squip hisses.

"Why!?" I ask annoyed.

Squip groans and appears.

"I don't know exactly! But I'm telling you if you like him then go after him! I'm trying to be good here!" He shouts.

He seemed genuinely scared.

"Why would you ever help me!?" I growl.

"Because I know if I don't you will blame me!" He snaps.

I roll me eyes and stand up.

"Fine." I say and walk in the direction Michael went.

We crossed paths as he walked out of the building.

"Jeremy? Are you ok?" He asks.

"I don't even know he told me to go after you." I say.

Michael looks at squip.

"Are you glitching out or something?" He asks.

"No! How rude of you to ask!" Squip shouts.

Michael looks at me.

"Did you drink?" He asks.

I shake my head.

We start walking back.

"I am not malfunctioning! Why can't someone just be nice for once?" Squip says.

"Well one your not a 'someone' your a computer and two you can't be nice." I say.

Michael nods in agreement. Squip seemed annoyed.

"How do you even have emotions?" Michael asks curiously.

"That's not important right now!" Squip growls.

Michael's POV

Squip flickered and Jeremy looked around confused.

"Jeremy can't see or hear me right now and he won't be able to hear you either." Squip say dismissively.

"Why?" I ask.

"I need to talk to you." He says.

"About what?" I ask.

"STOP ASKING QUESTIONS!" Squip shouts making me jump.

"You ok?" Jeremy asks, I nod.

He gives me a weak smile and looks out at the near by river.

"Sorry continue." I say.

"When I had Jeremy under control did you take a squip?" He asks.

The blood drains from my face.

"That's what I thought..." he mutters.

"I- I don't know what your talking about!" I lie.

I had originally taken it because I thought it would help me bring back Jeremy... I do\

Aqn't know I was being stupid and ignoring my own advise and research... but it didn't work and I got it from a cheap dealer anyways.

"Don't lie to me I already know." Squip rolls his eyes.

"What does that have to do with anything?" I ask defensively.

"It's best you don't know." Squip spits.

He disappears right as we arrive at camp.

Jeremy's POV

My ears make a small ringing noise that quickly goes away... maybe I'm not completely healed..? Hm.. oh well. I look at Michael he looked worried and confused. I don't know what's going on with that tic tac but the fact he won't tell me is making me very mad.
