"You what" I say probably louder than I intended, unsure on what my exact feelings were when the words had slipped my mouth, and he runs his hands through his hair

"You what" I say probably louder than I intended, unsure on what my exact feelings were when the words had slipped my mouth, and he runs his hands through his hair

"Turns out the broad was two-timing me. And instead of being in Colorado she was in another guys bed" he lets out a sad chuckle but I frown

He's keeping it in. I know how much he loves that dog, no matter how sinister she was. It's just always been who is. Hell, knowing him he'll go running back to her in a few days time. But this was about Sodapop

I lean my head against his shoulder
"She don't deserve a man like you anyway, Curtis" I chuckle trying to cheer him up

He turns his head back towards me, his ocean blue eyes looking right at my face

"I thought we were star gazing" I whisper making him chuckle and he places his hand on my cheek then gently running it down to my neck where my wound was and he sighs

I grab his hand "Sodapop, I'm okay"
I wasn't really, my neck stung and my head felt like it was gonna explode, I just didn't want him worrying about me, but it wasn't working anyway

His eyes returning back to mine, It had been too dark to get a good look at his eyes before, but they were seriously blue. Almost sickeningly blue - full on Prince Charming, field of cornflower, perfect, cloudless sky blue. Someone should name a crayon after the guy

We stare at each other for a while, but he breaks the gaze and clears his throat

"It's gettin kinda cold, let's get back inside" I chuck him a sad smile and we head back into the house

"I mean, what do you think? It'd be pretty fun right?" Sarah had been rambling on about hosting a surprise party for Bob, but I wasn't really paying attention

There were still a million thoughts running through my mind about last night, what if Soda found out about me knowing Sandy was with another guy all along? Would he still trust me?

I had chosen not to tell Sarah about our little conversation and not even about the fact that Soda broke up with Sandy, I trust her with my life but all she'd say is 'finally' or 'tell him you like him' or something like that anyway. Which is okay but I didn't need her buggin' me about him every moment of the day

We both take a seat in English "Ya wanna come shopping tonight?" She rests her head on her palm and I scrunch my face in disgust
