I walk over to the Curtis' house, smells of freshly cooked eggs and sizzling bacon

"Soda, hurry up you're gonna be late" Darry yells and I walk into the kitchen "morning, muscles" and he chucks me smile "hey, kiddo" he embraces me in a bear hug when Soda walks into the kitchen

"Hey, Blue" I look down "Hi" dully slipping from my mouth

I could feel Darry giving us a confused look but I ignore it and he doesn't question it "Come on anyway" Darry says and they both walk out the door without another word

"What was that?" Ponyboy walked in placing a plate of bacon and eggs infront of me and a plate for him

"What d'ya mean?" I say starting to cut my bacon and he gives a sterdy look "Cass, your baisically in love with Soda. What. Was. That?"

I roll my eyes and take a bite of my breakfast and pony just shakes his head

Pony, Johnny and I walk into the school gates and see girls in floral skirts handing out papers, a girl looks at me then rolls her eyes while another girl next to her smiles and runs towards me

"Cassie! I'm hosting a party for Bob tonight! You should totally come" she extends her arm handing me an invitation

You're invited to Bob Sheldon's 18th
Friday 9pm September 22nd 1983
address: 215 Springfield Avenue, Southside, Tulsa

I take a look at the invitation and glance back up at her grinning miraculously at me and I keep a full face "What about your posh babes over there?" I raise my eyebrows at the group of soc girls eyeing us up

"Don't worry bout 'em" she shrugs "I'll think on it" and I walk off with the boys

"So. Ya gonna hit it?" Johnny asks and I fold the paper and put it in my back pocket "Dunno, maybe I'll go for the booze" making the boys chuckle

The rest of the day went on as usual, Sarah didn't sit with us because she was discussing the party with her soc friends, which didn't bother us none

After school, the boys and I walked home. I didn't tell Sodapop I was walking home but he'd shake it off, besides I wasn't really on talking terms with him
