I woke suddenly because I felt hands tracing my forehead, Natalia was leaning over me with a beam,
My eyes took in my surroundings, and without a doubt, I knew I had slept too long.
"I think you have a fever."
I must have passed out from all the wine. I held onto my throbbing temple and got out of bed.
I made my way into the bathroom to freshen up, I had to leave, how could I have passed out this late? I thought as I got ready to leave.
Natalia hovered around me.
"Stay with me. You have a fever." She fretted.

"I'll be fine." I freshened up. At least, I tried to. I stunk of liquor.
"Stay the weekend." She insisted, despite how many times I refused, "Let me take good care of you."
I sighed, "You know, I can't."
She reached even closer and licked my earlobes. It wasn't an irritating gesture, which I never complained about, looking back I wish had."We don't always have to play by the book?"
Natalie and I have a contract, a no strings attached alliance. One I regretted deeply. I had decided to end it but somehow I ended up in the same position.
