Alison

I was woken by the pilot's voice announcing our arrival in Sydney; this used to be one of the best places to be, but suddenly it felt like another nightmare.

"I wish we could stay like this," I muttered to David, cuddled in his arms. I wouldn't lie; spending these past few days with him was more than anything I could have wished for. I hoped we would be able to do it again.

He kissed my forehead and held me even closer,
While I remained in his warm embrace, I couldn't help but wonder how our lives would be once we stepped out of the plane. Do we still get to hide? I couldn't pretend that I was not completely in love with him.

"It's time," David said and held me up.

Through the windows, I spot a large VW waiting for us as the plane comes to a stop.

"Enjoy your weekend, Mr. Hertz, Mrs. Hertz.." One of the attendants said as we disembarked, it took a second to realize it, and when I did, I glistened inside. They think we were married.

Mr. Hertz noticed my joy and smiled proudly. He took my hand and led me down the aircraft steps to where someone was waiting by the vehicle.

The man gave David a nod and a contrite smile. He then returned to the plane to retrieve our luggage, loaded them in, and left.

Five minutes later, we were on our way.
I gaze out the window as we head home, "You think anyone noticed I was gone?" I whispered. It was an unconscious thought that so how made its way out of my lips.

"Of course, why would you ask that?"

I sighed,

"Just a wild thought..."

"Why would that even cross your mind?"

"I'm not very popular, and it's always just been the two of us for a long time."

"Does that bother you?"

"Not anymore. I like it when it's the two of us, and I can't get enough of you." I told him. There was a time that I felt isolated; being around the same people over and over again can feel suffocating, but my feelings changed to the point where I couldn't get enough of this person that I so desperately wanted to get away from.

He didn't say anything else after that, and I just focused on counting trees as we drove. After 30 minutes of driving, we arrived at the estate,

"Are you ready?" he asked with a smile.

I nodded as the gates opened,

We drove even further, and I caught a glimpse of almost everyone, Jason, Olivia, even Micheal, and some bunch of people I didn't know,

I assumed they were friends of David; with all the elaborateness around them, they couldn't be mine.

They were all standing with wide smiles on their faces and a big banner that read, 'Welcome home, Allison.' It was so cheesy, and I loved it.

"David.." I gushed inside, "did you plan this?" I had never been happier to see them. I didn't even notice the tears that were already rolling down.

He reached out and held my hand,

He reached out and held my hand,
