Dylan ParkerI hated high school, the only reason I tolerated it, was because I got to see Ali every week. She was the solemn reason for every good thing in my life,
I hoped to tell her that one day and with that thought in mind I started my day at school,
I got to my locker and reached for some books, whilst looking around and wondering where Alison was, I had to speak to her before class,
"Hey, you." Someone startled me from behind. I turned and faced smiley Jenna. Ali and I nicknamed her that, because she never stopped smiling, literally.
I chuckled at the thought and cleared my throat
"What do you want?"
She grinned shyly, "Are you heading for maths?" She asked.
"Yes, so...." I said bluntly.
"Me too." She smiled and stared at me in awkward silence, which was weird.
"See you then." I shut my locker and walked past her. I couldn't stand the smiles any longer, they were getting creepy.
I walked along the hall to math class and gradually looked out for Alison.
I walked into the classroom, and everyone was already settled in, including smiley Jenna. How did she get here so fast? I thought.
I still couldn't spot Alison anywhere.
I sighed and took a chair beside the window, then pulling out my sketchbook, I began sketching my way through the hell of a class.
After math class, I didn't waste a second before running out of the classroom to find Alison, "Dylan, wait up?" Someone chased after me, I didn't need to turn around to know who it was.
Amanda Clark is supposedly the school's prom queen and also a big pain in my ass.
Luckily for her, I needed her expertise today, she happened to know everyone and everything that happens at the school.
I slowed down and allowed her to catch up to me, "I'm so sorry for stopping you like this Dylan...I just wanted to give you this." she said and handed me a blue flyer.
I raised an eyebrow at her,
"What's this?"
"I'm throwing a party this weekend. I want you to come." She paused and waited for a response, "You can bring Alison if you want ."
"Speaking of Ali, have you seen her today?" I asked.
"She called in sick today at the staff office, something about flu."
"Wait, Alison is sick?"
Amanda let out a cough to remind me she was still standing there, "So, Is that a yes?"
"Sure," I said and she smiled,
"See you." She beamed at me and walked away. Jeez, what's with everyone smiling at me today? I needed to go see Alison.
Alison
I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't notice Henna walk in, "Are you feeling better?" she asked in concern.
"Yeah!" I managed a smile.
She walked in and sat at the edge of the bed, "Is this about a boy?" She asked out of the blue.
"Jeez, am I that obvious? "
She laughed,
"We've all been there... Trust me, it will pass. You're so very young. "
