Dylan and I arrived at a penthouse for a college party, the place was crawling with people and a lot was happening at the same time, they were people playing at the pool, people making out at every corner, to ping pong games, spin the bottle, and even seven heavens,

I had never been to a college party, I didn't know what to expect, "Let's go grab a drink. " Dylan yelled over the loud music.

I had Dylan with me so I didn't panic.

He held my hand through the crowd and towards the kitchen, then he reached and poured us a drink,

"What is it? " I asked as he offered it to me.

"Vodka?"

"I shouldn't be drinking, Dylan. " I didn't want to.

"Let's celebrate you being an adult. Now you can do whatever the hell you want. " He reminded me as he held it out,

I nodded and accepted it,

"Cheers." We joined glass and es, and then I shut my eyes and gulped it all down.

I cringed and gagged, it was terrible.

No wonder Mr. Hertz was so grumpy, I thought.

I shook off the thought of him and tried not to think of him. For that, I needed a lot of alcohol,

"I want to drink something that doesn't 't make puke. "

He chuckled and then did a little mix, I had never seen that side of him. He seemed so different.

"Okay, try this." Dylan made something lighter and made me try it.

I did.

I could barely test the liquor which turned out to be a terrible tactic because I love it and had a couple too much later.

At 9 o'clock I had drunk a whole lot and was pretty hammered. Dylan introduced me to a bunch of his friends, Mike, Rhea, Fred, and Russo.

They were all college students.

We were all seated in circles playing Truth or Dare, it wasn't like anything I was used to, they had no rules. I tried to play cool, but I was uncomfortable and I felt a little dizzy.

Now it was Dylan's turn,

"Have you ever hooked up with anyone in this group? " Mike asked.

"Yes," Dylan answered in a whisper and avoided eye contact. He was shy about it, and Fred made it all worse by giving him a high-five and calling him a G, whatever that meant.

After about 15 minutes of playing, we had pretty much-known everyone's secret, I had been lucky so far, but because of Dylan chaperoning I didn't get any dares,

"I'll be right back," I whispered to Dylan and got up to find my way to the bathroom.

It was upstairs and the line was crazy, I stood and waited, and while I waited, I pulled out my phone and had this stupid idea.

I called him.

I called Mr. Hertz.

I didn't know why I did it, I just did. Maybe it was all the alcohol.

I guess I was in luck because he didn't answer.

I scoffed a little hurt.

It got to my turn. I placed my phone away and went in to do my business.
