The door opened and the light fell onto his face. He saw a crowd of people standing in front of the door yelling and giving him strange looks.

His mother stepped in front of his, but he was pushed aside by Laura who went down the stairs and went into the crowd. He was distracted by the crowd before hand, but now he saw a large stone castle behind the sea of people.

"Your highness," A man said as he pushed himself out of the crowd and in front of Zeke's mother. He had a pad in his hand and nothing to write with. "Why did you bring back the long lost prince? What really happened to him? Where did he go?"

"I have nothing to say, but we must be going home so could you move your mob from the door." His mother had said smiling.

"Why does the royal family keep secrets from the people if they really don't have anything to hide?" He said.

"Please step away from her she has nothing to say." A man had said behind him. He was wearing a black cloak with gold stitching. He looked like he was in his forties and had green eyes and brown hair.

The man who was asking the questions looked at the new arriver and quickly left. The man stepped onto one of the steps and faced the crowd. "All of you must leave, now, and do not come back for the rest of the day!" He had announced to the crowd who fell silent once he spoke. The crowd filled out of the yard in a matter of seconds. Once they cleared out the man turned around and smiled to the queen. "The people have been coming to the castle ever since you left. It's quite annoying."

The queen gave him a small smile and step of the stairs and went toward the castle. The man followed her after giving an unnerved glance to Zeke.

Zeke followed them down the stone path. While walking he caught up with the man and stood next to him. "Hi," He said.

"Hello," The man said while glancing at him through the corner of his eye.

"So, um, are you my father." He asked.

The man let out a small laugh and smiled. "No, I am not your father."

"Oh, sorry," Zeke said embarrassed. "If you're not my father than who are you."

"I am a member of the council." He replied.

"Well then what's your name?"

"I am a member of the council that is all that I am."

"Oh, so what does the council do?"

"We enforce the laws made in the olden times. We're the ones who say the punishment for the crime, but only the king and queen can say whether they will carry it out."

"Cool, how long have you been on the council?"

"243 years." The man said.

"But you can't be that old. It's impossible."

The man stopped in his place. "Are you calling me a liar? Because I am a member of the council and it would not be wise to insult me."

"No, I didn't mean to insult you I only meant that where I come from people don't live that long."

"That is a lie. You come from here. Do you not?"

"Yes, but I meant where I was."

"And where exactly were you?"

"I was-"

"Zeke," His mother yelled from front of the door that was a few yards away.

Zeke ran over to his mother and the council member walked behind him.
