Carvington smiled as he spoke to Jessica. He was making jokes to cheer her up. She had been upset that Lucas left. She really cared about Lucas, but Carvington was happy he even got her to laugh. They were walking down the hallway as Carvington held both his and Jessica's material for their next hour. "Carv," Jessica said. "I don't want you to change."

Carvington tried to keep his smile strong. After all, Carvington wasn't real. He was just a character. Carvington tried to remind himself constantly that this wasn't his life, but he often tried not to think of it that way. He often tried to think of Carvington like he was him. He wanted Carvington's life.

Carvington stopped. "This is your class," He said as he gave Jessica her books. "See you later."

"See you later," Jessica said as she walked into the empty classroom.

Carvington walked into his next class, science, which was the classroom next to Jessica's classroom. "Hello Mr. Crowsby," Mr. Roy said calmly as he focused on reading the textbook.

"Traitor," Carvington uttered as he sat at his seat.

"Open your books to page 201," Mr. Roy said as soon as the bell rung. "I would like you to read this section and write a short essay about what it was about."

The new student raised his hand as the rest of the class opened their books. "What about me," He asked.

"You will do the assignment as well," Mr. Roy stated. "You won't be excluded just because you're new. I know you're smart. Armona never has children who don't learn quickly."

"But I'm-"

"Different," Mr. Roy sighed. "I know you're special. You're a prodigy, but right now in this class you're a student who has to keep up."

The student opened his book and started to read. Mr. Roy looked over to Carvington who was sitting at his seat with his book untouched. He was lying down on his desk. "And what are you doing Mr. Crowsby," Mr. Roy asked.

"I finished the assignment," Carvington said as he sat up. "I had already read the section so I just wrote the essay."

"That's stupid," A student said. "You could've forgotten it."

"I never forget," Carvington snapped.

"Come with me Mr. Crowsby," Mr. Roy said. "Let's have a chat in the hallway."

"No," Carvington said as he put his head back on the desk. "I don't want to."

"It's either that," Mr. Roy warned. "Or you coming after school."

"Fine," Carvington yawned.

"Today then," Mr. Roy stated. "You must come and if you don't you will be expelled for your inappropriate behavior."

Carvington sat at a desk in Mr. Roy's room. He had his backpack sitting next to him. He waited impatiently as some students were still leaving or asking questions. Mr. Roy glanced at the bored Carvington and smirked. Carvington gave him a mocking smile and started to tap his foot. The last of the students left the room and Mr. Roy closed the door behind them.

Mr. Roy walked back to his desk and leaned against it. "This is interesting," Mr. Roy mused. "We will have a truly enlightening time in this room."

Carvington was about to insult the teacher when a student came into the room. It was the new kid. He walked inside, closing the door behind him, and sat on Mr. Roy's desk. He looked down, obviously distracted by something else.

"Now," Mr. Roy said. "We can start."

"Who is that," Carvington asked. He tried to show that the boy didn't affect him, but he strangely gave Carvington an unsettling feeling.
