Chapter Sixteen- Back to Fort Mac

As we drove down what was left of Hwy 63 as Michael called it, Nathanial and I looked out the windows to the grey colored roads, trees, and structures.  And as the automobiles drove through the small city in sequence, I saw the color trailing behind us, as the grey turned from its plain color, to a more fabulous one.

‘Welcome to Fort McMurray,’ one of the signs read.

“This is the Community you grew up in Amanda?” Nathanial asked.

“No, Nathanial it is obviously not,” Michael replied rudely.

            Nathanial did not say anything.

“If you paid any attention to the things that Amanda told you about her Community, you would realize that this Community is not situated in a Forrest.”

“Michael please, you do not need to be so rude,” I replied angrily.

“You are right Amanda, I should just let the man who is supposed to know you more than anyone continue to just listen to the words only he wants to hear come out of your mouth, and be the control freak he is.”

“Michael please, it is enough already,” I snapped.

“Fine I will not give you my opinion anymore.  And remember you are the one that asked for it.”

“Michael, please do not take me the wrong way.  I value what you feel, and have to say, but when it comes to Nathanial and I, please keep your opinions to yourself.”

“Yes, we would both appreciate if you did,” Nathanial replied.

“Careful human, I could eat you for lunch,” Michael snapped.

“Michael, control your temper, please,” I begged again.

“Fine, let me ask you Amanda, would you like to see your old Community?” Michael asked politely.

“I would like that more than anything,” I replied.

“And Nathanial would you like to see Amanda’s old Community?”

“Yes, I would thank you,” Nathanial said nicely.

“Then let us take everyone on just a little side detour,” Michael said happily, and slammed on the breaks, and everyone behind us came to a sudden stop.

Michael got out of the automobile, and opened the back door, “come then,” he demanded.

“Alright then,” I replied and got out of the automobile along with Nathanial.

“Why are we stopped,” Albert in the automobile behind us asked abruptly.

“Because I am going to show Nathanial and the rest of you all where Amanda grew up,” Michael replied.

“Who the hell cares where she grew up,” Adam, who was Albert’s son replied.

Suddenly Michael was no longer standing beside me, he was in front of Adam, and then using his left hand lifted him completely off the ground, and dug his fangs into his skin, and started sucking his blood.
