From Amanda,

The year is 2073, and the Earth no longer belongs to the Shadow Master.  The color plague has been activated, and color continues to return itself to a World plagued by Shade, that was once beautiful, and full of happy life.  The World has not been fully restored, and the darkness is still at large, waiting to consume the color, and restore the Shade of Shadow.

Western Control now operates out of Drumheller, Alberta, and has continued to move east, and is located as far as Central Winnipeg, Manitoba where the Resistance continues to move towards Toronto, Ontario.  The plan is simple, color the Capitals, and bring an end to the darkness in Canada.

Nathanial says I am crazy to think the plague will be destroyed in my life-time, but I am determined to find-away to bring the Shadow Master to an end, along with the blanket of grey that covers our once lovely planet.

The movement of Resistance has been quick, thanks to automobile transportation.

One of the occupants in the Drumheller, Alberta Resistance recently found-away to rebuild a replica of an older aircraft model engine, and once placed in what we now call a Resistance Airway Shuttle, which would have once been called a plane of some kind.  We plan on pushing the movement of flying objects starting next month, which I now know as July.

The communication has been disconnected, and all the communities stretching from Toronto to St. John’s have been warned by the Shadow Master, the penalty for joining the Resistance, but still the Shadow Master continues to honor the treaty, which so many of us have broken.

With so many of us human’s left, I am no longer fortunate to be one of them, I am victorious.  I have my shadow, color, and my life, and I plan on starting a family with Nathanial soon, but not until the Shadow Master is defeated.  And I am definite this will happen in my life time, because I plan on having children soon.

            Prologue

Fort McMurray, 2054

I walk, and talk for the first time, as I glance up at my Mother, and say “Mama,” her smile widens, and taking my grey color hand, she lifts the rags of her shirt, and trails my hand along her stomach, and I feel the knocking of something alive inside her body.  What could it be?

“You know Amanda, Mother has never told you, but there is more to beauty in life, than what this plague has robbed from our lives,” she spoke softly.

I look at her bright grey eyes with confusion.

“My child there is life, and all that this life still has to offer, each and every-one of us.  And someday Amanda, you will experience this for yourself, but it will be in many years from now.  And I want you to remember something; no matter where I am, and no matter where you are, I will be proud of you my daughter.”

Smiling at my Mother I took my left hand and also placed it on her stomach, and moments later my Father joined us both, “the celebration of life to come,” he said, and pressed his lips against my Mothers forehead softly.
