You were the sun,
I was the prickly thorns,
You were the rose,
I was the petals,
You were the cherry blossom tree,
I was the heat,
You were the candle fire,
Then... quite suddenly,
I was the meat,
You were the butcher,
I was the target,
You were the gun,
I was the bacterium,
You were the alcohol,
I was the typo,
You were the backspace.
