bit words cannot hide
what's already so tangible,
three-word lies
are the most common,
what makes us happy
is happening behind each other's backs,
what makes us excited
is the felony to faithfulness
what destiny had molded,
time had withered,
what the most painful truth is that
we love each other,
we love each other,
but we love the crime
we love secrets and pretenses,
and we live in one
believing the way to love
is to say
believing that what isn't true
is the most painful truth
