Okay so I have this idea in my head, right. Where, during the war, Bobtail and Frostbite became the bestest of buds. They were such great friends, other soldiers suspected them of being gay. It didn't earn either of them such a good reputation.
But, Bobtail's mind always had Regret and Splinter and his dad nagging the back of his brain. He once considered, that if he didn't have his family to go back to afterwards, he'd stay with Frostbite after the war. They talked a lot about it. Turns out that Frostbite didn't have a family or friends to go back to. He had an uncle, but he was crazy in the head.

SSo, while they were soldiers, and bunkmates, Bobtail did his best to be better then family to Frostbite...
Which made him pretty sad to hear that after Frostbite was blown to bits by a dragonflame cactus air assault, Bobtail was the only one in the will that the IceWing had scrawled out on a slab of stone. He was left with the only things Frostbite had; a lantern that burned blue flame, and an anklet made of steel wire and un-melting ice fragments, chipped of the Ice Palace. Bobtail also took his friends dogtags, and he treasures all of these things dearly.
Wow, first actual chapter and you all just got hit by a BUS OF FEELS Enjoy that :D
