-NaNoWriMo!
In case nobody knws what that last thing is, NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writing Month. A thirty-day period of time all budding authors have to crap out 50,000 words of fiction :D
My friendo from school introduced me to it. She and I and a few others in our class are all in it together!
If you guys want to check it out try nanowrimo.org
I don't know if that link's gonna pop up. My user is Mozziu, so check it out and we can be writing buddies!
Here's an excerpt from my story
Max pulled out his camera. Today was very new.
Oh who was he kidding? Every day was new!
Yesterday the world was made of flowers and dragonflies, where he and Auntie had gathered a bouquet so big you couldn't tell which parts were flowers and which were iridescent wings. The day before was optimal for sledding and snow-angles. He and Uncle had a blast, and Auntie made hot tea for them when they got back
But today was absolutely amazing! There were sharks in the forest.
Auntie told him that before the world became the New World, the Old World was just acres and acres of pine forest. It surrounded the tree village on one side, and a great cliff dropped off the other.
Today looked a lot like the Old World, except today, Max could pick up a clump of grass, and a cloud of sand would burst up after it. He jumped into the air, and sat suspended for a moment before touching down again, sending a wash of sand over the crabgrass. He giggled, and watched the bubbles of his laughter float up towards the treetops.
There there were all kinds of sea creatures. Manta rays glided about, on wings that made them look more like birds than fish. A Great White shark swam through a clump of pines, so close that Max reached out and felt its rough skin. A shiver went up the boy's spine as crabs scuttled about his feet. A silver light caught his eyes as schools of humongous tuna swam shining among the deep green fir needles. A shadow fell over Max, and he stared upwards to see a great whale blocking out the sun. Along with him swam pods of dolphins and more whales, blowing colorful iridescent bubbles from their blowholes.
Delighted, Max slung his pack over one shoulder and began to swim. Think of it! Swimming in oxygen like he could breathe in the ocean! He paddled to the treetops, and nestled onto a peak of the fir tree. He pulled out his camera, and snapped three pictures of the whales and the dolphins above the trees, the sharks and the fishes gliding through the forest, and of Max's own face, backdropped by a scene of ocean and grove.
Auntie and Uncle were going to love this
That's it, ya'll! No art for this chapter, but I'm excited!
This means that my art production will be a little slower as I attempt to crap out this 50,000 words. It's gonna be stressful XD
But I'll try to draw something for my birthday tomorrow. She might get mad if you say anything, but Sparrow and I actually share a birthday, so I might draw her and the Battalion doing something
Love you guys <3
