What are MoonWings?

MoonWings are a wings of fire fantribe created by me. They are a closed fantribe and can be obtained through adoptions, egg raffles, so on and so forth

Abilities and Relationships

MoonWings cannot breath fire, or ice, but they can blast bursts of paralytic smoke from their throats. Victims are rendered unconscious and paralyzed for up to twenty-four hours, and are so slowed down by the attack, some can be pronounced dead.

MoonWings also have the ability to travel between the three moons, and Pyyrhia. They are the creatures that give NightWings their powers, so long as the black dragons continue to worship the moons. However, like in the Three Kingdoms, MoonWings will be badly burned by the sun. Their relationship with NightWings are kept hush-hush, as they prefer to have the Pyyrhian dragons believe that they get their powers from the moons themselves, rather than a tribe of dragons.

Government and Royalty

Like most tribes, MoonWings are governed by an absolute monarch. They can be ruled by either King or Queen however, as new rulers are the oldest offspring of the previous monarch, regardless of age or gender.

The current Queen of the MoonWings is Queen Eclipse (photo unavailable), the sole daughter of the late Queen Luna, who died being burned alive by the sun. Eclipse is closely guarded by her non-biological cousin, Prince Crescent, whose mother was murdered by NightWings who found her with their eggs in their kingdom.

The monarch rules over the Three Kingdoms, which are the three moons of Pyyrhia. The First Kingdom is the smallest, and hardest to see of the moons, which houses all royalty and pale-skinned nobles. Only royalty and first-class visit Pyyrhia on a regular basis.
The Second Kingdom is home to the grayer, second-class citizens. It is rare that any of them leave their moon, but it is possible.
And finally, the largest moon of Pyyrhia is known as the Third Kingdom. Home of the lower class and outcasted of the MoonWing tribe. Most Third Kingdom citizens are bums, burned black by how much exposure to sunlight the kingdom has.

About the Burned. When a MoonWing becomes so blackened by the sun and lives to look nearly like a NightWing, they no longer have any chance of becoming a higher caste citizen, or sometimes finding a mate. They are given a formal ceremony in which their smaller two wings and two sails are severed, and they are sent to Pyyrhia to live as normal dragons. Some Burned have even live to be well-revered among dragons, as they still have the hatched ability to give mind reading powers to any dragon they please.

As an Individual

MoonWings have the basic body structure of SkyWings, needing large upper body muscle in order to power their two sets of wings. They are the embodiment of the moons. One set of horns to represent the first moon, two sets of wings to represent the second, and three tails to represent the third.

MoonWings are pale and gray, like the surface of their home world. The paler, the classier. Some have patches of darker or lighter gray while other are all one color. Each MoonWing is hatched with a birthmark of the moon phase they were born under. The mark can be anywhere on their bodies, but usually are places easily visible.

Miscellaneous

When a MoonWing has found a mate, each braid their own tails into a chord, and have the braid held in place by an elaborate marriage band. The bands usually match in some way, and signify the union of two MoonWings

In MoonWing society, the paler, the prettier. Nobles can even be taken down from their ranks if they get a sunburn. However, sometimes sun scars are excused. For instance, Prince Crescent tried to save the Queen from burning, and was burned himself. Because his scars were given to him in a heroic act, he remains with his status. However, Crescent is no longer considered a handsome suitor for any noblewomen

MoonWing eyes always match the color of their smoke

MoonWing dragonets are referred to as "Moonlets", and come out of their eggs a glowing, snow white.

MoonWings celebrate every time the Three Kingdoms align, and all citizens from every kingdom travel to the First Kingdom for feasting that lasts as long as the moons align

Being an egg gifter is a very special job. MoonWings who go to Pyyrhia to pass powers to the NightWings are guarded heavily on their journey, and sometimes painted black for camoflauge. Secrecy is top priority.
