What the Hech is a SoundStep?

SoundStep are an original species of mine. They exist in Steppe Jungle somewhere amid the deserts of Post-Sweep United States.

History
After the nuclear annihilation of Earth, the SoundStep began to appear from the smoldering waste. Their bodily fluids are neon colors, and their entire existence revolves around music, which is why so many of them have taken up homes in Los Ambience. It is the only known civilization for humankind, after the Sweep., and is known for thriving in the vast wastelands by means of synthetic materials and music to keep the public happy.

However, something happened between the species and humans in the early post-Sweep days. Now humans hate the SoundStep, and shun them throughout the city. Many have lived there their whole lives, and long to be returned to the jungle.

Habitat
Los Ambience is in the center of a crater, with desert on all sides far beyond each horizon. To the east of this desert lies Steppe Jungle, a thriving Amazon of music and neon.
During the day, the jungle teems with life. Twisted, radiated life. Two-headed toucans, multiple-limbed monkeys, and eyeless black panthers to name a few.
Near the edges of the jungle closest to Los Ambience lie the main village of the SoundStep. Elaborate buildings and complexes roadways have been woven into the trees, all surrounding the palace, where the King of SoundStep resides

Royalty
SoundStep are ruled by the oldest child of the previous ruler, dating back seventy years to king Radioactive, who was said to be a hero of great legends, for freeing his species from human oppression. When a ruler dies, their burial is within the same ceremony as crowning the next ruler, giving all a smoother transition from ruler-to-ruler.

Social Construct
SoundStep are very social creatures. Their entire species exists solely in their one jungle kingdom. Their hierarchy is as follows

Servants of the royal family

Military
Citizens
Prisoners
Banished (those who decide to live in Los Ambience permanently)

Military
SoundStep's only need for military is to protect them from the horrible jungle predators. Eyeless black panthers being one. Their other need, if the time comes, is to protect from a human invasion

As an individual

-SoundStep's bodies are composed of slick, charcoal skin.
-They are warm-blooded, despite being cool to the touch.
-Their blood, as well as every other bodily fluid, is all the same color neon throughout the body.
-Their two sets of eyes each have different purposes. The smaller set see the world around them, while the larger set sees sound waves
-Their horns are flexible and fluid-filled, and are used for detecting vibrations around them
-Their wings have four sections, designed to give a SoundStep more maneuverability in the air, and for beating out different rhythms
-SoundStep are living musical instruments, and they possess two different sets of vocal chords. One for speaking, and the other as a synthesizer, making them able to copy any sound they hear.
-They possess two sets of lungs so the SoundStep can both speak/sing and perform activities without being so easily winded.
-SoundStep are also highly auditorially intelligent. By listening to a song once, they can perfectly replicate it within seconds after its ending. They can also recognize any human or SoundStep by their voice alone
-SoundStep's glowing wing patterns pulse to the beat of a song they are singing, or just listening to absently. They also use this as a way to attract a mate

Reproduction
SoundStep attract mates by, what could be more obvious, sound waves. Since birth, they find their favorite song, which they are named after, and sing in the endeavor of finding a mate. If one perhaps finds their song pleasing, the two sing together. The combined sound waves mixed with the creature's pheromones impregnate the more maternal of the pair. This means that any SoundStep, male or female, can give birth.
The only differentials between male and female SoundStep is their size and voice pitch. Males are larger, have deeper voices, and tend to be less maternal than females.
