"Oh Eunjung!" The loud shouted of my father even hurt my ears on this side of the door. But that was nothing compared to the terror in my heart. I was sure that Yoongi could feel me physically shaking as he silently squeezed my hand in a reassuring manner.

I halted just a step from the front door, the thin plank of wood that separated me from my enraged Father.

"I can't," I whispered. "He is going to kill me."

"Eunjung," Yoongi said gently and turned me towards him. "You know we have to do this one day or the other. Now that he knows, we might as well do it."

Deep down, I knew Yoongi was right. I had been putting off even thinking about how to break this news to my Farther. I knew I couldn't run away anymore, not now. I had to face him. With another comforting squeeze of Yoongi's hand, I shakily opened the front door of my house.

My father was in his work clothes, most likely having bolted straight from his company as soon as the maid informed him about Yoongi. His eyes traveled from my face to Yoongi's, then down to our held hands. He abruptly grabbed Yoongi and roughly tore him away from me.

"Oh Eunjung! What have I told you about Min Yoongi!" My Father yelled right in my face. "I told you to stay away! And now what have you done!?"

"F-Father-" I was so terrified I could not form a coherent sentence.

"Mr Oh," Yoongi spoke up surprisingly calmly, "with all due respect, you don't who I am. You shouldn't make a character judgment on me base on what you've heard from-"

"I shouldn't make a judgment on you?" Father interrupted. His attention now on Yoongi, he walked menacingly towards the teenager until they were only inches apart. "Do you really think I don't know what you are? Do you really think I don't know what FIRE does? Do you really think I don't know about what your dead father used to do?"

Oh no, my father was using his intimidation tactics.

Yoongi chuckled, never once breaking away his gaze. "I know you know about my family. I know you know about FIRE."

"And you have the guts to question why I want Eunjung to stay away from you?"

"I don't question your judgment. But that's only because you don't know the whole picture." Yoongi threw me a tender gaze and continued speaking to my father. "You should know that Eunjung is not stupid. She would not make decisions based on emotions alone. If she is choosing to be on my side, there is a good reason for it."

That halted Father's train of anger. He looked back at me with slight confusion. I could see that he agreed with what Yoongi said, but he could not work out why there could possibly be a good reason his daughter chose to be on those despicable gangsters' side.

Yoongi continued, "Now that my father is dead, part of his influence in FIRE has transferred to me... And that is why this is the perfect opportunity for me to tear down FIRE from the inside."

My father's eyes narrowed. "Boy, don't be messing with me. Why on earth would you want to tear down FIRE?"

"If what you see from the outside is enough to make you hate them so much, how do you think seeing it all from the inside would make me feel?" Yoongi replied.  "I have seen what the leader and what my Dad used to do," he shook his head disapprovingly, "and I agree with none of it."

"I do not trust a single word that comes out of your mouth," Father said.

Seeing the situation, I finally gathered enough courage to speak up. "It's true. Yoongi wants to destroy FIRE from the inside," I lied to my father blatantly. "He has been working to disintegrate the structure of the gang and planting mistrust between the executives of FIRE." Well, that part was true.

"Eunjung..." My father was speechless, which was an extremely rare occasion.

I continued, "The only reason I didn't tell is that I know you will try to keep me away from it because you would think it's too dangerous." I walked up to him and laid a hand on his arm. "Father, I am an adult now. I know what I am getting into. But I still want to help you out any way I could. I want to bring down FIRE too."

Father took a few seconds to process everything in his head, then said, "Eunjung, tell me what exactly is your part in this?"

I hesitated. This confrontation had been so rushed Yoongi and I hadn't had any time beforehand to plan anything out. I wasn't sure exactly what I should or should not be telling my father.

Yoongi answered for me instead. "She was the one that planted the note in your house informing you about the meeting between FIRE and Seoulsangdoek."

Father's eyes widened in shock and he looked at me. I only nodded. He said to Yoongi, "So I assume you are the one that leaked that meeting to me?"

"Yes, Mr Oh. And your men interrupting that meeting has successfully caused severe mistrust between Leader Kim and the executive called Ga Wookheon. The top of FIRE is already beginning to break down."

I saw that my father was calming down and I was beyond relieved. I looked at Yoongi and gave him a small smile.

My father went to hold onto the wall and loosened his tie. "So you are actively sabotaging FIRE, and Eunjung is helping you with that..." As if suddenly remembering something, his head snapped back up and he asked, "What is your relation with my daughter?"

I said, "W-We are working together to-"

"No, that is not what I am asking." My father stood back up straight, seemingly about to get riled up once again. "Min Yoongi, what, is, your, relation, with my daughter?"

Yoongi and I exchanged a gaze, and before I could say anything to stop it, he had already decided to say it. "She is my girlfriend."

My father charged at Yoongi and grabbed him by the collar. "Who do you think you are!?" he roared. "To think I was beginning to believe you! You are just using my daughter! You are just emotionally manipulating her to-"

All of a sudden he let go of Yoongi while grabbing at his own chest. His breathing started becoming faster and more shallow and I could see the sweat on his forehead. He frantically tried to loosen his tie further before collapsing onto the floor.

My father was having a heart attack.
