Chapter 6

Yuuka and Mayuri were send to their dorms. Obviously because of them being vampires they were staying in Night Dorm where other vampires live. Hopefully and fatefully Mayuri and Yuuka were roommates too.

“Yuuka, what do you think about Lord Kaname?” Mayuri asks suddenly lying on the bed whereas Yuuka was freshening herself.

“Why do you ask?” Yuuka asks. “And why are you calling Kaname as Lord Kaname?”

“Maybe because he is the next head of Kuran and a pure blood too.”

“Pure Blood? Like me?” Yuuka never saw another pure blood other than her family in her life.

“Yes, and here I thought you were well-informed and smart enough.” Mayuri says and Yuuka frowns.

Mayuri looks at Yuuka and laughs when she notices her nose being thin in embarrass. “Yuuka, Kurans are one of the noble families but not to worry your family is at the upper hands compared to Kurans.”

Yuuka doesn't say recommend or gives feedback. She just listens to what Mayuri has to say and stays silent gaining every bit of information she could. Naturally, Yuuka is self-cautious. Wherever she goes she never leaves information behind related to where she will be going ot staying. However, because of her over-excitement of attending Cross Academy without Sakamaki boys made her skip doing some research about the academy.

“Yuuka, I am going to sleep now after having my medication.” Mayuri tells. By the time Yuuka turns to Mayuri, she sees Mayuri in closed eyes and open mouth. In other words, in a deep sleep.

Yuuka walks to her and fixes blanket on her, “Goodnight!”

Yuuka arranges her things in places and finally she sits with a blank sheet and pen. Over-excitement made her miss many things. One of them was informing her family about sending regular letters. Who cares? They will eventually reply to her as soon as Yuuka sends them one.

Dear Papa and Brothers,

I have arrived to Cross Academy in one piece. Guess what? This academy is pretty huge. There are two Classes. One is for Night and Day. I don't have much of information about it but what I have noticed humans and vampires don't do classes together. Also, for your information I am going to attend Sketch class in Day Class as Night Class student with Mayuri.

This is it for today. I hope you reply to me soon.

Yuuka Ayumi Sakamaki.

She finishes and re-reads her letter checking for any errors. She folds up the letter and keeps inside an envelope. She dresses herself in white sleeping sleeveless gown and walks out of the room. Before she realizes, she was already lost outside from her dorm. Moreover, she even didn't have any idea where she could find a post box. Silly her she could have given her letter to Headmaster and asks him to send the letter to her family.

She turns around to see a boy around her age or older than her staring at the leafless tree. She didn't know him and he didn't sensed her. He continued to gaze at the leafless tree and she continued to gaze him. Without her knowledge the next thing she knows, his sword beside her neck, her hands in his grip, his bell sound in her ears and lilac eyes staring deeply in her eyes. She accidentally moves and he deepens the sword.

She didn't know what to do. She has never experienced such situation in her life. All she knows she was just nothing, an empty shell or piece without her brothers. She knew she was insecure, not safety enough to be protected but this much insecure was unbelievable.

Fear gripped every inch of her body. Before she could handle herself, she found herself in tears. The boy before her eyes was shocked at the sight of pure blood crying in fear but still he didn't let himself down for a second.

Her lips parted a bit making her breath through mouth. Her nose was useless at that moment for her to breath. Her breath was too deep that the boy could hear it. Unconditionally, Yuuka was mesmerized in his eyes, lilac eyes.

“What are you doing here? Who are you?” The boy asks her huskily which also took her breath away even more.

“Yuuka, a new student in Cross Academy.” She introduces.

“What are you doing here?” He deepens the sword on her neck which made her neck to cut slightly and blood to sip out.

“I was...” Yuuka stutters. “I was just looking for a post box so that I could send my letter to my family.”

“Excuse for getting a prey, isn't it?”

“No...” It came out as a low voice. Yuuka was so scared that her heart was beating just like humans do when they are scared.

The man leans towards her. The sword changes its direction slowly and fixes itself infront of her throat. One mistake and she dies by his hand without her knowing his name. “Your eyes...” She hears him whispering and staring deep in her caramel eyes.

Next moment she knows that someone pulls her from behind and pushes the boy hardly on the wall. “Ichiru, I think it would be best for you to step back and apologize to Miss Yuuka.”

She releases her breath when she notices the sword was no longer infront of her throat but on the ground. She turns around to see Kaname and a girl with petite slender build body and brown eyes fringed with red beside him. “Yuki take Miss Yuuka to her dorm.”

The girl named Yuki comes near Yuuka but Yuuka steps back. It was foolish and unreasonable for her to walk to the boy who was going to kill her seconds ago. He was trapped by another man who had ash blond hair and fair skin.

“Leave him. He means no harm. He thought I was going to hurt a human. That's why he became cautious and was going to hurt me.” Yuuka tells making Ichiru, Kaname, man with ash blond hair and Yuki shocked. “I don't like myself repeating again. Leave him.” This time Yuuka's voice was in demand tone.

The man with blond hair leaves him and Yuuka faces Kaname. “I apologize for what happened earlier. If it has caused any trouble then I sincerely apologize. I was just looking for post box so that I send this letter to my family.”

“Letter?” Kaname asks.

Yuuka takes her letter out and shows it to Kaname and he nods. “Fine. You can give it to me and I will send it to your family.”

Yuuka was taken back. This letter was nothing special but still it was her privacy that is being handed to him. How can she trust someone who she met hours ago? She barely knew Kaname but still with risk she gave it to him.

She turns to Yuki and asks for her help for returning her to her dorm. Yuki nods and tells Yuuka to follow her. Yuuka follows and reaches her dorm.

“You don't wonder around at night like that. Nights are mostly mystery. You never know what will happen if you lost your track in your way.” Yuki says and leaves.

Yuuka rolls her eyes and enters her room. She walks to the washroom to see her neck. The small scar on her neck was healing slowly, extremely slowly. She presses it with her thump and hisses as she felt pain.

She freshens herself again and lies on the bed. Before she closes her eyes and falls in to sleep, the last thought that emerges her was Ichiru's lilac eyes.
