Chapter 16

Yuuka, Mayuri, Kuran siblings and Kiryu siblings were all present in one room; Headmaster's room. Mayuri's all attempt for not letting Yuuka visit Kuran residence has brought all this crisis. Mayuri's usually composed in front of purebloods but since the invitation came, she has gone all-out. Her argument about how a pureblood without any bodyguards can leave school residence was what made everyone sweat-break and everyone to stay quiet.

Zero agreed with the decision of guarding Yuuka to the destination but Ichiru seemed neutral, not saying anything disabling people around him to understand what he truly feels about it. More importantly, Yuuka and Ichiru were more awkward being in the same room, especially Yuuka. All the attempts to forget about the kiss just blew off due to face-to-face meeting. Even though they were not looking into each other's eyes, their body was surely in heat.

"It's decided Kiryu brothers will guard Yuuka and her friend, Mayuri, to Kurans." Headmaster concluded, taking Yuuka's all attention. She was not aware of what others discussed and argued but she surely heard this. "...and Mayuri..."

Mayuri looked at Headmaster, "all the travelling arrangements will be arranged by Kurans, so no need to worry."

She snickered, "Oh my, your highness, Kaname, is this way of showing how grateful you are for your guests to accept your invitation?"

Her comment with sarcasm surely made the room more fiddly. "Be assured we treat our guests with full affections." Yuki's counter-attack made Mayuri more furious. Before making the situation worse, Yuuka decided to intervene.

"Are we and Kiryu brothers going to travel in the same carriage?" She asked.

"Indeed." Kaname replied.

"I see." Yuuka's discomfort reply took the Headmaster's attention. "Is it uncomfortable for you to travel with boys who are not your brothers?"

"No, no, it's fine. It's just a question. He-he." Yuuka stood up. "I think the decision is made and now, we should take our leave."

Before anyone has the chance to say anything she left the room and everyone just followed her eyes to her leaving figure. Both, Kaname and Yuki, knew the possibility that it might be a bad idea but it's also a golden chance to let Yuuka meet their mother. Ever since that incident, Juri was not completely herself. Haruka desperately searching for their abandoned daughter alongside the siblings but the moment Juri heard about Yuuka's appearance from them, she was overly-excited to meet her. However, by the act of Yuuka's comfort behaviour against them, made them realise Yuuka was suffering from amnesia.

"Mayuri, does my dress look alright? I mean, how do I look according to occasion?" Yuuka wore a light pink knee-reached gown. She looked elegant and innocent. It made Mayuri more insecure. What if kurans were seeking an opportunity to lock her up in their house? Or they might be seeking an opportunity to just meet her and to observe her mental health? But, nothing comes to mind with positive thoughts. It's just their past actions were what was reflecting present thoughts.

Yuuka, a thoughtful and naive to society, looked innocent bringing tears to her with dreadful thought. What if she fails to protect her? What will happen to her? What if she experiences bad things whilst Mayuri is hopeless?

"Oh My Lord, are you crying?" Mayuri let out a shuddering breath. "Mayuri, what are you so afraid of? Are you hiding something?" She shook her head. "Then... It's just an invitation. I know it's the first time without brothers but isn't it what we planned all along?" She nodded, "...then look at me and smile."

Mayuri looked at her with teary eyes and smiled. There's always first for everything, I guess.

Everything was set and now it was time to depart. Yuuka suggested Mayuri to be in the carriage first she will be coming in a minute. Yuuka searched for a necklace in a jewelry box. The necklace was called 'حب -hubun'. It was the simplest with an ocean colour of tear shaped object in the middle with a chain. It was gifted by Beatrice that resembled 'love'.

She smiled looking at the necklace and made her way to the carriage. The moment she set a foot to be in the carriage, she heard Ichiru whispering, "I wonder when will you show your true colours which is hidden behind that fake facade face of yours." With quivering lips, she gasped and let go of the feeling and went inside.
