blue jeans, white shirt
today the freezing cold snow swirled through the air as i stepped into the bar, relieved to be out of the terrible weather. i showed the bouncer my id and he let me in. i wasn't in the mood to drink that much, so i just sat on a stool, lost in my own thoughts. then you walked in.
today i met you at the bar. you walked in with some girl that reminded me of my friend, peggy schuyler. she had a long, flowing red dress. she had bright lipstick that matched her dress. you had short hair, that went to your shoulders, and some peach fuzz that didn't seem like it wanted to grow. you wore blue jeans and a white shirt.
today i looked at you from across the bar. the girl who was with you was drinking her heart out. you didn't touch a single drink. she tried to kiss you, but you pushed her away. "maria, you have a girlfriend," i heard you say.
today i felt a feeling i've never felt before. i felt all warm and fuzzy inside. when we made eye contact, i felt in love. i felt like i wanted to hold you and never let go. but when you walked out that door, a piece of me died.
today i went home and told my father about you. he demanded to ask who this girl was, but i told him it was not a girl.
today i got three more scars on my back.
blue jeans, white shirt
walked into the room, you know you made my eyes burn
it was like james dean, for sure
you're so fresh to death and sick as cancer
you were sorta punk rock, i grew up on hip hop
but you fit me better than my favorite sweater, and i know
that love is mean, and love hurts
but i still remember that day we met in december, oh babyi will love you 'til the end of time
i would wait a million years
promise you'll remember that you're mine
baby can you see through the tears?
love you more
than those bitches before
say you'll remember, oh baby, say you'll remember oh baby ooh
i will love you 'til the end of timebig dreams, gangster
said you had to leave to start your life over
i was like, no please, stay here
we don't need no money, we can make it all work
but he headed out on sunday, said he'd come home monday
i stayed up waitin', anticipatin' and pacin' but he was
chasing paper
caught up in the game, that was the last i heardi will love you 'til the end of time
i would wait a million years
promise you'll remember that you're mine
baby can you see through the tears?
love you more
than those bitches before
say you'll remember, oh baby, say you'll remember oh baby ooh
i will love you 'til the end of timeyou went out every night
and baby that's alright
i told you that no matter what you did i'd be by your side
cause i'ma ride or die
whether you fail or fly
well shit, at least you tried
but when you walked out that door, a piece of me died
i told you i wanted more-but that not what i had in mind
i just want it like before
we were dancin' all night
then they took you away- stole you out of my life
you just need to rememberi will love you till the end of time
i would wait a million years
promise you'll remember that you're mine
baby can you see through the tears?
love you more
than those bitches before
say you'll remember, oh baby, say you'll remember oh baby ooh
i will love you till the end of time...-lana del rey, blue jeans
