"Woah! Sumire, it fits you!" Taehyung said once I opened the door. I flashed him a genuine smile, and Jungkook, who was behind him, looked up from his phone and waved.
"Anyways, Taehyung's going to be treating us!" Jimin said, walking out of the room and throwing an arm around Jungkook's shoulders. I closed the door behind me, and we made our way to the elevator.
Taehyung clicked his tongue, "It's expensive!"
"Okay fine," Jimin said, apparently feeling bad for me. Though Taehyung said that, I wouldn't of have let him pay for me when we got there. I just wasn't used to that. Unless.. I had to charm people into making them do it. "I'll pay for Sumire, since it's her birthday, and then you and Jungkook can pay for yourselves."
"It's okay," I waved a hand. "Let me pay for the three of you."
"Omo," Jungkook spoke up. "It's alright."
He was shy; and I could tell he was just saying that because he felt bad and embarrassed about it. Judging from the way Taehyung and Jimin treated him, it seemed like he was someone they always treated - and he seemed to be used to that, but when it came to other people, he would decline.
But I didn't have any problem with money.
"I should be the one saying that." I pressed, as we walked out of the building. "Really." I didn't know why I was suddenly so generous - I was always selfish about what I had. But there was something inside me that wanted to share what I had.
It was confusing, yet.. it comforted me.
"Fine." Jimin sensed that I really wanted to. It was weird - it seemed that when I felt something and didn't speak up about it, Jimin would notice and point it out in his words. He was somehow like me; he tends to observe people.
But maybe he was better.
He was the only one that ever saw through my lies and discomfort.
"I feel guilty," Taehyung frowned. "I know we only met, Sumire. But you're the only acquaintance I have made that actually kept in contact! Except for my bathroom friendships, of course. If you only told me, I would have bought you a gift!"
"I didn't know it was her birthday, too." Jimin said, as we entered the train. "I just yelled happy birthday, and she was shocked! I remember the look on her face." he started laughing, and Taehyung laughed along with him. Jungkook shook his head while I playfully rolled my eyes.
He liked making fun of me, and found humour in the unconscious thing I did. I would've been annoyed, but when he did it..
It wasn't annoying.
"I don't care about gifts." I said. I wasn't very materialistic, and if there was something I was into - it was probably puzzles.
"Do you like books?" Taehyung grinned.
"I hate books." I replied. Whenever I tried to read it, the letters would fly out of their place and go somewhere else. It was like it was making fun of me - and it would take me minutes to read a whole sentence.
"He's being indirect; he's asking you what you want for your birthday." Jungkook pointed out. I wasn't used to the amount of compassion I was being given. They barely knew me. And they were.. boys.
"If there was anything, I guess puzzles would be nice." I shrugged, since it seemed like they really wanted to know. "But I'd like something whatever's thoughtful."
We talked again, the three of them making conversations seem endless. They had plenty of things to say on whatever topic. Jimin kept bringing up how hard engineering was, Taehyung talked about his girlfriend a lot, and Jungkook would talk about his practice, and at the same time, be such a savage for the two.
