"Omo, please don't cry, Maki." Jimin murmured soothingly once the nurse walked out of the room. I've just got back from checking up on Yoosung, who was thankfully okay. He was expected to wake up the day after tomorrow.
He was ordered to rest, so he had to be confined, since my apartment was pretty far from here. I covered my face with my hands, and his words were so genuine, I couldn't help but quickly wipe away the tears that fell. "Jimin, you pabo."
He ran his fingers through my hair, "Ahh, you're right about that. I shouldn't of have come. So this wouldn't of have happened." he sighed, "I just.. I was just really worried about you."
"I'm so, so sorry." his arm was now in a cast, and he had bruises that hurt me whenever my gaze would land on them. "I'm sorry, it pains me so much to see you like this."
"It's okay, Maki. Jagiya, please don't say sorry. What matters is that we're both okay." he flashed me a reassuring smile. He was about to say more, until his phone buzzed for the umpteenth time. I couldn't blame anyone.
Everyone was asking about how Jimin was in Japan, and he didn't reply for days, of course they would be worried. "You know.. at least this didn't happen in Korea, or else we'd have a hard time explaining."
"I quit being an assassin, Jimin." I started, sighing and trying to calm myself down. "I'm getting rid of my alias. And when we do come back to Korea, I don't think I'd look at them the same way as I did anymore. The guilt is overwhelming."
He nods, letting me continue, "I shot Jungkook. And that itself.. I don't think I can ever find such strength and courage to tell him that. But he deserves to know."
He sighed and moved his hand, intertwining it with mines. The intimate action would've offended me back then, but it was one of the best things I've ever felt. "I trust Jungkook. That was so long ago."
"Though saying that to him," I said, "Also means saying that I was once an assassin."
"Just him." he promised. "Since he was the only one you've had relations to. I'm sure he would forgive you. All you have to do is really mean it, don't be prideful about it, okay?" he flashed me a reassuring smile.
I nodded slowly and squeezed his hand, "How was your competition?"
He flashed me a cheeky smile, "You see, Maki.. the competition was the same day as my flight, so-"
"Pabo." I said again. "Jimin, you really are an idiot."
He laughed, "But why?"
"You trained so hard for that competition!" I pointed out, feeling even worse. "You were going to compete against your friend and see him again, and you could've just moved the flight."
"Aish, that's alright." he moved his hand from mines and gently pinched my cheek, "It was worth it."
"Ditching the competition for a cast?" I cocked an eyebrow. And like he always did, he laughed at my words. Of course he did - he always laughed at the simple things I said and did. Really.. it was admirable.. how he always appreciated the little things in life.
I sighed and pulled out my phone. He slightly tilted his head, "Yah, what are you doing, jagiya? Are you going to ignore me now?"
"No," I replied. "I'm going to book flight tickets to Korea."
"No!" his voice squeaked, and though I hated to admit it, it sounded adorable. He realised what just happened and hid his face in his hands. "No, let spend more time in Japan! You can show me around."
"Or," I paused. "You could rest."
"I'll be out of here tomorrow." he stuck a tongue out. "Aish, come on! Let's have some fun, Maki! I'm pretty sure you missed Japan, too."
I closed my eyes a bit, before giving in. "Fine."
"Yay!" he celebrated, throwing an arm up in the air, accidentally hitting me in the face.
"Ow," I rubbed my face.
"Omo," his eyes widened. "Maki! I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" he turned his head to look at me. I laughed softly and waved a hand.
"You're acting like I've never been hit much harder before." I pointed out, smiling small.
"How's your friend?" he questioned.
"He's okay." I reassured. Surely, it wasn't Yoosung's first time getting shot - especially since he was always focused on heirs, getting away with traps wasn't that easy. "Most likely, he'll be waking up the day after tomorrow."
"How about.. Erika?" it took him a while to say her name, as if hesitating to say her name without any honorifics.
I smirked, "She gave us a perfect score."
He laughed, "But really.. I can't believe she was that skilled. I saw what she did from afar. Or at least, heard."
I nodded slowly.
"And Aika." he mentioned. My heart pounded him mentioning Aika - it's been a while since I've actually talked about her. And I did forgive her, she was one of the people that really was good. "You didn't tell me about her."
"What did she tell you?" I asked.
He shrugged, "She told me she really did make a big mistake. That she would never expect you to be with someone else after what she has done to you, especially with your target, since you were very goal-focused."
"She said both of us were lucky to have each other. She told me to take care of you.. and to not let go of you like she did with you.." it saddened me to hear her words coming from Jimin, but I was also happy that there were really no hard feelings between me and her.
I nodded and smiled, "She's nice."
"She is." Jimin agreed. "Now where would you be taking me? And also, in case you forgot, I didn't eavesdrop on you and Aika's conversation yesterday. I don't understand Japanese."
"Also," he added. "Don't think I forgot about you teaching me Japanese!"
"Why are you so pumped with learning Japanese?" I questioned, cocking an eyebrow.
He winked at me, "So I could flirt at you and the guys won't understand."
I rolled my eyes at his response, and he chuckled, "Yah, just kidding. I've always been interested, and now I'm even more inspired since you're Japanese! I should watch anime to make things easier for me.."
"You don't watch anime?" I cocked an eyebrow, and he nodded.
"Okay, but first," he held up a finger. "What's love in Japanese?"
I paused, staring at him for quite a while. "Baka."
His brows furrowed, "Really?"
I smiled and chuckled, "Yeah."
---
I'm sure everyone of you know that "baka" means "idiot" and not "love"
Maki messing with Jimin, aish! XD
PS. I know Jimin loves anime, but hey, i think its okay to twist things a little bit!
Anyways.. yup, totes gonna finish this today!
