"We're here." Yoosung parked the car a good distance away from the warehouse. The place was built in the woods. It was a spot that was suitable for snipers. He turned off the car to avoid getting any attention.
"Are you sure there aren't people guarding the warehouse from here?" I questioned, still hesitating to go outside. He nodded, exiting the car, along with Erika. And eventually, I followed them, too.
"No," Yoosung reassured, double-checking his weapons. "They don't want to catch any attention, and that includes people staying outside. The outside defense is poor, I wouldn't say the same for inside."
"Are we really up for it?" Erika asked uneasily, lightly tugging on the string in her hands. She was always so professional, yet seeing her so unsure and nervous right now was something I wasn't used to seeing..
I nodded, "Have you done it before?"
"I.. have." she shouldered her bag and wrapped her string around her gear, where it should be. "I've done it before, but it didn't work. I didn't put enough strings."
"But you have enough now, don't you?" I questioned, and she nodded. "You're gonna need.." I turned my head to look at the warehouse, "A lot."
Yoosung handed her a gun, "Escaping will be one of the hard parts."
She furiously shook her head, "Hold up, I'm not good with guns."
I gently pushed it over to her, "You'll need it."
Once we were done preparing and checking everything, Yoosung handed us our earpiece, which we tested beforehand. He nodded over to us, "Alright. There are cameras outside the building. Stay here. I'll get back to you once I'm done shutting down the security cameras."
We nodded, and he was off. Me and Erika didn't have much to talk about, and all I did was reassure her about how her trap was going to be successful this time.
Me being the bait.. I didn't know how to react to that. I've never been one before, but all I had to do was talk to them. Distract them. We had to give Erika enough time, though I'm afraid I'll ruin the whole plan just to save Jimin right away.
Just.. why did he have to come so soon?
"I know you're thinking about Jimin." she said, sighing and sitting down beside me. "You know.. I think he's okay. They can't hurt him because he's their bait for us." she pointed out. I knew that - but her saying that made me feel better.
"And I'll work as fast as possible." she promised, before pausing, as if trying to remember another thing she was to say. "Also.. you do know that being bait means that you're gonna have to get hurt.. right?"
"I know that." I nodded. "But as long as I can, I will fight. After all," I showed her all the hidden weapons in my clothing. From the knives under my shoes, to the blade in my bun and belt, the gun under my skirt..
"Done it, loves." I was relieved Yoosung came back right away. And flashing each other knowing glances, I grabbed the suitcase in the trunk, before quickly making our way to the back of the building.
I opened the suitcase and picked up the folded ladder, Erika helping me with it. She placed it on the side of the wall, and insisted me to come up first. So I did. When we were both up in the roof, we quickly made out way to the only vent on the roof.
Erika pulled out some tools and started unscrewing the vent, gave it a strong pull, and it easily came off. Now, she was the first one to come inside. I thought it would feel more cramped, but my worse expectations comforted me.
At least I could move around a bit.
"Where do we go first?" she questioned, looking over her shoulder.
