"So, what are you going to be up to now?" Jimin asked softly as we patiently strolled the streets, hand in hand. I was surely going to miss being so reckless - though I wouldn't necessarily say I would go back to that kind of life.
"Erika's offered me and Yoosung a seemingly appropriate job," I replied. "She asked us if we wanted to work a little for the government, like solve cases. As in, a detective."
He scoffed, "You'll do great!" he gently pinched my cheek and kissed it. "How about Yoosung, how is he?"
I shrugged and smiled small, "He's in Japan. After all, I think he's happy there. Maybe we could start working together soon. I don't think we need any training to do good."
He laughed softly and started swaying our hands up and down. I turned to him, "Say, can you tell me more about Hoseok?' I questioned. I just wanted to know why I was guilty. Maybe I've seen him in a crime scene before.
I didn't know.
At all.
"Well, he's such an amazing dancer!" he didn't question why I was asking such a question. "And an amazing person in general. He's like a mom, he's been competing in plenty competitions. He's a performer."
I nodded slowly. Maybe it was just a mistake.
But my instincts never failed to be wrong.
Though I didn't want anymore questions.
"Alright." I hummed, moving closer to him. As we turned to a corner, we couldn't help but notice a small crowd forming on the streets. What happened?
Usually, I wouldn't come near, since I didn't like people or crowds, but something in me told me to investigate. I'd atleast consider this as my first case.
"What happened?" I asked, more to myself, but Jimin answered me anyways, as he managed to pull us to the front.
"A car accident."
A car was upside down, close to burning into flames. And I knew I still had perfect vision, as my eyes had unconsciously started looking for something that shouldn't be in the car.
My eyes landed on a small, black box on the side of the door. A girl crawled out of the car, and my pounded as I managed to recognise her face.
There were police, but no one was aware.
Cursing under my breath, I let go of Jimin's hand and carried the girl away from the car, shouting, "Get away!" as I did.
A minute passed, and sure enough, the car exploded. My eyes landed on the girl, and she passed out. Blood stained the gloves I wore, and the police made their way over.
Someone planted a bomb in the car.
As the police came closer, I took the opportunity to get away from the girl.
I knew how to solve this.
I stared at the gloves, my mind wandering off to certain scenes, that it took me a while to answer, "Miss?" I snapped out of my thoughts.
"Yes?" I replied.
"Do you know her?" he asked, motioning to the unconscious girl. Jimin squeezed my hand.
I shook my head, "We don't."
"Alright." he wrote something in his pad. "Did you notice anything suspicious?"
I shook my head. "None."
Jimin noticed my uneasiness, "Jagi, is something wrong?"
I flashed him a reassuring smile, pulling him with me.
It was for another time.
"Nothing."
It was another secret to be ashamed of.
