Peeta POV

By the time it's seven o'clock in the evening, Johanna has polished off every single cupcake in Haymitches cupboard. For the past two hours, we all just sat around the kitchen table and talked. And talked. And talked.

It felt good to be able to do this, it felt like we were all normal people not five Victors, three of which had gone through two games and all of which had gone through a war.

'Wait! Is it seven o'clock? Turn on the TV!' Johanna suddenly shrieks when she sees the time.
'Why?' Katniss asked her, as she rested her head against my shoulder. I love this feeling, the feeling that we're a proper and real couple now and how she feels comfortable to do things like resting her head against my shoulder or holding my hand. It may sound silly but it's more than my 16 year-old self could have wished for.

'Don't you guys watch the programmes on TV?'
'No way! It's all Captiol announcements!' Annie says, wrinkling her nose in disgust.
'Not anymore! They have tons of different channels and scheduled TV shows. I'm hooked on this one called "Killing me softly" (AN this is a made up show) and its on every night at 7.' Johanna informed us as she flicked though the channels with a remote before settling on the right one and chucking the remote back on the sofa.

Katniss and Johanna clear away the discarded cupcake wrappers and glasses while Annie and Haymitch settle on the sofa and me in an arm chair. When the girls were done they raced each other from the kitchen to the living room for the last arm chair. They were neck and neck until Johanna shoved Katniss out of the way at the last minute and took the arm chair gleefully.

'Haha! I win! I am the Victor!' While Johanna strikes a triumphant pose, Katniss picks up a pillow from behind Annie and lobs it at Johannas head. She then turned on her heel and walked over to me and, tucking her feet in the gap between my right leg and the side of the chair, settles herself on my lap.

I feel myself tense up, at the feeling of her body pressed against mine as she rests her head on my shoulder again.
'This is okay, right?' She whispers in my ear, obviously worried that she'd upset me. In reply I gingerly kiss her cheek and, satisfied with this, she tucks her head by my neck again and wraps her left arm around the small of my back.

Johanna was right, the programme was quite good though it ended with one hell of a cliff hanger.
'What?' Annie yelped as the end of programme credits start rolling on the screen, 'They can't end it like that! Who shot him?!'
'You'll have to find out tomorrow An.' Haymitch chuckles as he gets himself another bottle of liquor.
Annie sighs as Johanna says, 'But there's this new programme about babies on next, you should be interested in that right!'
Annie rolls her eyes but sits up a little straighter as the programme starts.
