I awoke to find Jackson curled up at the foot of my bed, fast asleep. He looked so peaceful and I didn't want to disturb him but it was Monday and that meant school.
I looked over at the clock, it was 7:15. School started at 8:30 but I liked to have to time to get ready.
"Morning sleepy head" I whispered, nudging him gently.
"Morning" he yawned, his eyes squinting in the sun light coming through a gap in the curtains.
"And what are you doing in my bed silly, you're getting a bit old for this aren't you jack?" I knew exactly why he'd come into my room though, Mum and Dad didn't stop their lengthy argument until around 3am.
He stood up, stretching his arms above his head.
"I must have sleepwalked," he smiled bashfully, avoiding eye contact.
"Sure, go and get breakfast, I'll be down in a minute" I said, trying to straighten out the duvet on my bed.

"You look extremely tired this morning Charlotte" my mum said sternly as she pulled up outside the school gates. We usually walked, but it was 'raining' and she didn't want us 'coming down with a cold'. It wasn't raining badly at all, I knew she only wanted to drive us so she wasn't at home when Dad first woke up.
"Yeah, well it was hard to sleep last night, certain people didn't shut up until the early hours," I replied, "come on Jackson get your bag" I said, slamming the car door, not even saying bye to her.
"You shouldn't be so hard on her," he muttered as we walked through the gates.
"Oh, sorry I forgot how much you loved them arguing." I rolled my eyes, walking away from him and towards my friends who I could see crowded round a table in the corner of the canteen.
"Hey Charl, are you okay? You look kinda tired," My friend Michael said looking concerned.
"Oh, thanks Michael," I sighed, "I'm fine, I just couldn't sleep much because the.. the rain kept me awake." I lied. I trusted Michael, a lot, we had been friends since we were tiny. But I wasn't willing to talk about my parents and all their commotion in the middle of the canteen.
He smiled at me caringly, and I knew that he knew something was wrong.
"What did you do this weekend, then?" My other friend Lily grinned. I hadn't known Lily as long as I'd known Michael,I'd met her when I first came to high school, she was really nice but incredibly chatty and irritated me sometimes.
"Um nothing really, me and Jackson went to the beach on Saturday, that's just about it," I breathed, not really wanting to talk much. "What about you guys?" I asked, questioning Michael,Lily and Luke. He was our other friend, I'd known him for a long time aswell, I had a stupid crush on Luke in primary school and we were 'boyfriend and girlfriend' until year 6. He was cute and I still found him attractive but we were strictly just friends now.
"Well I went and worked with my mum at the hotel and it was really funny because..." Michael started but I interrupted him before he could finish.
"Who's that boy" I asked pointing over to the boy that had practically knocked me over last night, he was walking over to the drinks machine with a girl. I felt slightly jealous of her, but I had no idea why. I guessed it was probably just because she was kind of pretty.
"Who?" Lily asked, and they all turned around.
"Guys guys, don't all turn at once," I laughed sheepishly, "Him, the one in the black jeans with the grey beanie."
