I woke up early on Monday morning, nobody had spoken to me all weekend, not even Michael which was strange because we had planned to dyeour hair but now I felt like he was totally avoiding me. I had rang him several times but he hadn't answered.
"What are you doing in here?" I asked, scratching my head, as I looked down at Jackson who was curled up on my floor with his duvet.
"I think I might have slept walked again," he coughed, standing up and dawdling out of my room.
I nodded my head at him, understanding why he had come in here. Mum and Dad had been arguing all night, I was surprised they still have anything to say. I wondered when they were going to split up, part of me hoped it would be soon. It certainly wasn't going to get any better.
"Are you awake Charlotte?" Mum whispered, peering round my bedroom door.
"Yep" I said, nodding my head and propping my body up against the pillows.
"Michael came round last night." she responded, taking a seat on the edge of my bed.
"What? Why didn't you tell me?" I moaned, standing up and reaching for my phone off my dressing table.
"You were asleep." She stated calmly.
"Well you should have woken me up." I shouted, "what did he say?"
"Have you two had an argument?" she asked, looking concerned.
"Why do you care you don't even like him." I said bluntly, because it was true. She had never liked Michael she had never wanted me to be friends with Michael and now it seemed like she was so interested in our friendship. It kind of hurt.
"He said it was important."
"Then why didn't you wake me up." I spat, becoming increasingly annoyed, I wanted to know what was wrong. It wasn't weird for Michael to turn up at my house uninvited, he did it all the time, but he had been ignoring me since Friday, and for him to tell my mum it was important meant it must have been important.
"You looked really tired and it was late and you have school today." she explained.
"But he said it was important," I stressed, walking into the bathroom and slamming the door.
I felt sick at the thought of school, something had obviously happened with Michael and I also had Math first lesson and if Ashton decided to turn up to the lesson then it would be extremely awkward.
I got in the shower to try and process my thoughts, but nothing helped. I was so nervous.

Mum offered to drive me to school but I kind of wanted to be as late as possible so that I didn't have to spend ages with Michael before first lesson. So I decided to walk instead, I set off the long was so it would take me longer to get there.
Bad idea.
"Charlotte." Somebody called behind me, when I turned round the corner to walk down the long street to school. I knew exactly who it was, nobody called me Charlotte except my parents and Ashton. So by the process of elimination it had to be Ashton.
"What?" I said, turning around. I wasn't in the mood for games and this was Ashton so he had most likely come to try and mess with my head again.
"Do you really think I'm a dick?" He asked, speeding up slightly so that he could walk with me. He took his cigarette out of his mouth and threw it to the ground, standing on it. I looked him up and down, so that I could work out the answer to the question he had asked.
"Yes." I said, proceeding to walk forward. He jogged a little, catching up with me.
"Why?" He asked, playing dumb. As if it wasn't obvious.
